Bandeau dress and thong - mini dress discontinued by DreamGirl - review by deltalima

This strapless bandeau mini dress and thong by DreamGirl toed the line between public-approved and bedroom-approved sexy. The model pulled it off so nicely that I was hesitant to try it. But I'm glad I did!

You get this in a glossy plastic covered cardboard box, with the dress and thong securely wrapped in a plastic bag. The front of the box has a picture of the dress and the back and info on it.

This bandeau dress has multiple side cut outs that are constructed with elastic bands. This is a great feature since it hugs to your body. I don't have a flat stomach and even then, it pulls it in a bit and makes the dress look more flattering on my body. As for my flat butt, it even lifts it up a bit and gives a nicer curvy silhouette.

The closure in the front zips from bottom to the top, with a hook and eye closure at the top. The hook and eye closure was the main problem for me. I have flat, saggy boobs. So even though the elastic band sides pull it together, the weak hook and eye closure gives the effect of saggier boobs. It's hard to wear a bra with this because the front of the dress gets scrunched in the middle and sags down. The sides don't show black bra but the front makes it obvious. I constantly have to reposition my boobs when I wear this dress with or without a bra.

The matching thong that comes with the dress is pretty basic. It's a black thong. When I wore this dress, I didn't have a problem with my underwear showing because the cutouts are in the appropriate places that it doesn't show. The thong feels nice and it stretches a lot.

This dress is 26 inches in length and comes in one size fits most. According to DreamGirl sizing charts, the ideal measurements for a one size fits all would be:

♡ 2 - 14 size
♡ 60 - 160 pounds
♡ B - C cup
♡ 32 - 38 inch bust
♡ 24 - 32 inch waist
♡ 34 - 40 inch hip
♡ 35 inch inseam
♡ 7½ - 8 inch rise

The dress and thong are made from polyester and spandex. Because polyester is combustible, it's recommended to wash in tepid water and air dry it. The same is recommended for spandex because even though it is really stretchy and durable, it cannot take high temperatures.

With the exception of the top hook and eye closure, intended to secure the zip, I am in love with this dress. I have worn this out to clubs and dinners and I love it. Call me a slut but this makes me feel incredibly sexy!

When I ordered this, I didn't know there was a pink version. I'm not sure I would have gotten it though because the zipper is more contrasting. I can only wish they'll make more variations of this dress or have something similar in silk/satin that is fitted.

I still love this dress but have resigned it to wearing it in the bedroom only. The elasticity of this dress hasn't been altered with numerous wear and washes. I can't wait to order this in pink. Still hoping for a red version of this!
