Chamber maid - costume discontinued by Fantasy Lingerie - review by Juliettia

I'm a plus size woman so finding outfits that look sexy and fit is kind of hard, at least for me. After searching through the lingerie department here at Eden Fantasys, I settled on the Chamber Maid outfit. Mostly because it was available in my size and I wanted something sexy to surprise the Husband with. After checking out the sizing chart, I decided to order this outfit a size larger just in case, and I'm glad that I did.

While slipping on the chemise, or more of a mini skirt style dress, I was a little surprised to find that it hugged my body quite a bit. Even though it appeared sexy on me and I caught myself smiling in the mirror, I'm glad that I ordered a size larger than I should have. If I would had ordered my proper size it wouldn't have fit so I could breathe I'm sure.

The Chamber Maid costume is made out of black microfiber with white lace edging and will hug your curves, making you feel sexy while being soft to the touch. The chemise has wimpy underwire support build into the cups and is not suitable for women who's cup size exceeds a C, unless you have a support of your own. Otherwise you will notice a little sagging. This can be fixed slightly by adjusting the straps of the chemise, which work just like most bras. I was in love with the lace trim on the cups, because you can choose to have it show your nipples through the lace or be hidden by the microfiber and look sexy both ways.

Moving off the dress and to what every French Maid type outfit needs, an apron! The Chamber Maid's apron is made out of a white silk with some more lace trim with lace tie backs. Not much else can be said except that it's sexy and comfortable to wear over the chemise.

My only complaint aside from the wimpy underwires is that rather than coming with a sleek pair of gloves or some type of panties, it comes with this granny hat that is also made out of lace. While this may be some peoples fantasies, it is not in mine. I find it rather ugly myself and feel less sexy when trying to have it on to 'complete' the outfit. So, off it stays.

While inspecting the threads and stitching of the outfit as a whole, I'm happy to report that I did not find any lose threads, tearing, runs, or anything out of order. Everything is stitched well and holds up to tugging without making any type of noise to indicate that it's ripped.

If you want to feel sexy and want something simple and easy, remember that this is awesome, it made a plus size woman feel sexy, and to order a size larger than you need. Also, don't forget to leave the hat off. Maybe even give it to Granny for her birthday.

I've never washed microfiber before, so I followed the instructions to machine wash the chemise in warm water on the gentle cycle, tumble dry on low, remove promptly without wringing or twisting and it turned out just like it was when I pulled it out of the box. One for Juliettia, Zero for the Washer and Dryer, who's been known to eat my clothes before.

While I can pretend to be a domestic goddess with this outfit on, the skills unfortunately just don't stick with me. I've worn this outfit a handful of times over the past couple months. During my last session I paired it up with some heels, and over the knee white stockings. I had the lust of my Husband and a fun time. However, during our play some silicone lube managed to spill on the apron. I didn't think this was a big deal, and threw it in the washer on warm gentle cycle with a little bit of Oxiclean. While the lube came off, there is a discolored 'oil' looking spot where the lube once was on the satin. If I was the domestic goddess, I bet it would have came right off looking good as new. I'm not sure why the spot resides, but take caution when using silicone or oil based lubricant with this outfit.

Aside from the mishap I caused, the rest of the Chamber Maid outfit has held it's color well and stood up to being washed more than twice just fine. Black in any outfit tends to fade with time. I use laundry soap made for darks, which I believe may be a contributing factor in why the color is holding up. The chemise is still holding its shape, and I haven't found any broken threads. It's safe to say that you can go on being a Chamber Maid in an outfit that will continue to appear new.

I will not lie. I have no idea where the silly granny hat is, nor do I care. It just looks too silly to put on, and try to 'complete' the outfit. Since I'm not a fan of feeling silly when I'm trying to be sexy, I stopped attempting. Instead just do what I did to feel sexier, and pair it with some heels and over the knee - thigh high stockings. You'll have the lust of your partner.
