Striped bikini set - bra, panty and stockings set by Leg Avenue - review by chiquita

This is a one size fits most set by Leg Avenue, a brand I've been satisfied with many times. It includes the bikini top with adjustable halter, thong with side-ties so you can choose what fits you, and a pair of stockings. All of these match each other in an adorable polyester/spandex fabric with a pink and yellow combination I really loved the look of when I saw it.

However, the color and fabric isn't exactly as it appears in the pictures - instead of bright pink and yellow opaque fabric like pictured, it's very see-through and the yellow is more of a yellow-orange. The fabric is thin, like stockings, and prone to snags so you need to be careful with the bikini set as well as the stockings that come with it. The fabric isn't as smooth and pleasant looking as most Leg Avenue products I've purchased and the first thought I had when I pulled it out of the packaging was "cheap."

I also found it didn't fit as well as I liked. I am very petite - short and thin with only a 34B bust. The halter worked well enough, and probably is the most comfortable part of the set for me. It's cute with the tie halter, supports just enough to make my bust look perkier, but not so much so that it doesn't allow for plenty of fun bounce that my partner enjoys. The thong is a size fits all designed to accommodate women up to sizes much more curvaceous than myself, so tying it to fit around my very un-curvy hips made it frumpy and unflattering. The stockings were just as so - they looked frumpy on my slender, short legs. I didn't feel extremely good about wearing it, and my partner didn't get that excited about it as he does other simpler, everyday lingerie that fits better.

Overall, I am pretty disappointed with this set and have relegated the halter and thong to my "spa clothes" I wear when I am waxing or moisturizing. The stockings get next to no use from me anymore. I've been buying products from Leg Avenue for awhile and had yet to be disappointed, so this is definitely a first for me.
