-That Wet, Wet Look-

You could have bought any old corset. You could have gotten orange, pink, green, or neon electric boogaloo rainbow stripes. But no. You wanted something a bit.. Darker. Almost danker. That leather look, that club, sensuous look, that cold, dark look that inspired some sort of inner demon to lurk around while you are lookin' stylin'.. At least, that's what I thought about when I first saw this look.

It's wet. I get to look bad. That's such a cool thing to me, to dress up and be something different. And I have a strong feeling that's what you were looking for when you wanted to buy something like this, and that's why you're reading this review. You want to know if it does that, without stabbing you in your breast or making you look like shit. That's a good question and all and this particular garment has a good answer for that: yes.

This is dark and sleek and fun. It does look how you hope it would look, like it does on the model. Be it, you probably don't have white-blonde hair to compliment it, but this probably the closest I'll ever come to looking like the model in the picture. I'm okay with that.

But when you buy wet look, no matter who makes it, you need to know a few things:

-What You Need to Know-

1) It's HOT! It really holds in the body heat. You will feel cooked after wearing this for a long period of time, so think hard and long before you plan an evening away that involves this look. Think about how hot and sticky you will be. Try it out for small periods of time, get used to that feel, and then consider the long haul.

2) It is stretchy as all get out. I believe it is a constant that these garments always run a size large, so it can stretch and form to you better. So, take your measurements and check the chart. I fit somewhere in Coquette's Large to Medium, but I erred to the side of medium and was very pleased I did. I myself measure as a Victoria Secret's 34 DD and my overall measurements are 36-32-36. A medium is perfect on me.

-What You Need to Know SPECIFICALLY to this Top-

1) Not much of a corset, girls. The material is meant to be a bit tight, but it will not carve you out into marble. It will not hold your stomach perfectly back, but it will accentuate you well. So, no miracles, but still a nice look.

2) Those buckles are silly, loose decoration. It will get caught on things. Rethink any sheer fabrics you wish to incorporate with this corset. Think long and hard, because you might ruin a pair of stockings if you're really flexible and cleaver.

3) The straps are huge. I have moved the clip as far as it can go, and the straps are still loose. I am not a huge person, so maybe that's why, so there should be plenty enough for anyone else who wants one.

4) No cup padding. There is underwire in the cup, but because the straps are so huge and the fabric is so stretchy, your boobs will do what gravity does to them - fall. However, the cups cover enough, (as well as the straps,) and effectively so, so if you really want to, you can wear a bra underneath for added support. However, if you were graced with a smaller set than myself, then you should probably be fine. And yes, hard nipples will poke through. (But again, you'll be kept so warm, you won't really have to worry.)

5) It's a wee bit difficult to wear under something, but not impossible.

6) For me, it is a dream to put on. The zipper needed a little finagling to get going, but once I was started, I got it on. It took me all of 30 seconds to get off. It takes longer to take my bra off. No worries.

And, finally, 7) It's obviously not leather. The material is very shiny and very thin. It doesn't scream quality or money or sophistication. I don't care, and as long as you like it, neither should you, but one day, it'll rip, and it will look terrible. I don't know when that day will come, but in the mean time, I will have as much fun as I can.

I really do love it. I plan on hitting the town and wearing this to Rocky Horror when it comes up in October, but that's some time away, and before that, I want to have some good old fashioned fun. I'll update after Halloween and tell you how it worked out.

The rest I could possibly tell you is the final test I put this through: the boyfriend test. I had showed him what I was getting before I placed the order, and he approved then, but I wasn't sure what he was going to think once it was on me. I slapped it on, grabbed some black underwear and called him over. He, after a small jaw drop, gave a solemn, sexy nod, and I knew that it worked.

I'm currently saving up for the matching skirt, and I should also have that before Rocky Horror. In my re-review, I'll include a link for my commentary on the skirt. I'm only hoping that my ass looks tight.
