Office tramp - costume discontinued by DreamGirl - review by Breas

The Office Tramp Costume by DreamGirl is available in two sizes; one-size-fits-most and “XL”. Being a size extra large, I ordered the XL. The extra large option is actually DreamGirls’ “queen” size. The weight bracket for the queen size is between 165-275lbs.

The outfit arrived in a cardboard box. The front of the packaging has the brand name, product name, and size listed on it. The front of the packaging also has a photo of a model wearing the outfit. The back has the same information as the front, along with a back view of the model wearing the outfit, the company website, and a brief description of the contents of the package. I don’t find the packaging to be ideal for storing the outfit when it’s not in use. I keep this outfit in a drawer.



Inside of the cardboard packaging, the costume is folded neatly in a clear, plastic bag. There are 4 pieces to the costume; the top, skirt, necktie, and thong. All of the pieces have a lot of stretch to them, except the necktie. The necktie does up with a Velcro closure. The necktie is 100% polyester. All of the other pieces in the set are 95% polyester and 5% spandex.

The outfit is black and white in colour. The white material on the chest and the ruffles on the bum are sheer. The black material on the top, thong, and skirt are not see-through, and feature thin, white pinstripes. The top has two white buttons down the centre front of the piece, and the skirt has three buttons. All of the buttons are the same size. They are a tad bigger than ½ an inch in diameter. The buttons are just for appearance; you don’t actually need to button anything up.

Thong
Waistband unstretched: 14 ½ inches

Skirt

Top
Shoulder strap length: 13 inches
Width above chest (white sheer ruffled trim on top of the chest): 15 ½ inches
Width underneath chest (under white sheer material): 16 ½ inches
Length of chest area (white sheer material): 4 ½ inches
Length of top (armpit to bottom of top): 7 ½ inches
Length of back of top (down centre back): 6 ¼ inches

The collar circumference measurement (see above) was taken with the Velcro strap done up completely. There is a bit of room for adjustment. The Velcro pad is a little less than 1 inch in width. If you needed the collar to be a bit larger, you could use a safety pin to attach the back pieces. I’m not sure how comfortable this would be, though it’s an idea.

There were a few dangling threads on the outfit and one of the buttons had half the thread unravelled, though for $24.99, I wasn’t terribly upset about this. There have been much more expensive pieces that I’ve purchased that required much more sewing to them. I really only had to sew the one button to make sure it didn’t fall off, and I just trimmed the few threads around the outfit.

The chest area does not have any padding or underwire in it. The white material at the chest area is sheer. I personally would have preferred the white material of the outfit to be opaque, but it’s still lovely for the bedroom. At the top of the chest area, there is a 1 inch ruffle trim. I wear a C cup, and there was plenty of room in the chest are for more boobage. The chest did not look gappy on me though since it has a gathered look. If you have a very, very large chest, the material may not look gathered anymore once you wear it, though it should still look nice.

There are 3 rows of ruffles on the bum of the skirt. The top ruffle is 3 inches in length and the bottom two ruffles are approximately 4 inches in length. The ruffles are sheer, though because the ruffles are layered, it is less sheer than the chest area. You can see this in the photos below. The first photo shows my hand beneath the chest area, and the second photo shows my hand beneath the ruffled bum area no the skirt.

I really liked the skirt, even with the ruffled behind! I’ll admit, I wear the skirt sideways (so the tag in the back is actually on the side of my body). I like having the ruffled hip on the side of the body, rather than on my bum. The ruffles tend to make my big bum look bigger. My partner likes it either way, but I prefer to keep the ruffles on my hip. I’m 5’6 and when I wear the ruffles on my behind, the skirt falls just below my bum cheeks.

The necktie was loose around my neck, but not so loose that it looked awkward. The material was very comfortable and soft against my neck. The thong is also very comfortable and has a liner in it (see measurements above). The thong has the pinstripe pattern on it. The material of the front of the thong covers my crotch area well, unlike many thongs/g-strings I’ve received with different lingerie pieces. You can see a photo of the necktie and thong below.



The care tag states that the outfit should be hand washed in cold water, and line dried.

Overall, I’ve extremely pleased with this outfit. I would have preferred the white material to be non-sheer, but it’ still a sexy piece for the bedroom. The price is excellent for the outfit, it’s extremely comfortable (it didn’t bother/irritate my skin at all) and it’s very, very sexy. My partner just adores this outfit. I think that if he had it his way, I’d wear it all day, everyday.
