Spring meadow fly-a-way babydoll - babydoll and panties set by Escante - review by Ryuson

I got this when I was on the search for the perfect thing to wear for my and my boyfriends 3 year anniversary. I'm glad that I ordered this early because it really isn't the 'sexy and romantic' thing that I was looking for.

Packaging
This piece came in a very nice way. It was hung on a small, black hanger and then covered in an opaque layer of plastic, much like the paper slips that get put on things after they've been dry cleaned. It keeps it out of the view of prying eyes, and it's great to protect the garment during shipping.

The tag is attached to this piece by a plastic tag-thing (where they're round on one end, a 'T' on the other end, fun to chew on, you know what I'm talking about.) The thong that comes with it is attached similarly.

While the hanger isn't awesome, it is a great one to use to hang this dry after washing it. I wouldn't trust it with a dress or a jacket, but it would do fine holding a shirt or a light scarf. It's fairly thin, so you also may want to make sure that you don't bend or twist it too hard.


Fit
This babydoll looks like it fits very differently in the picture than it does in real life. In the picture it looks creamier and more romantic, but in real life it's just kind of a mesh top with a slit in the middle. The entire thing has quite a bit of stretch to it.

On the base of the cups is fairly firm underwire. This helps to support and shape breasts, especially for those who are a bit larger. On the bottom of the cup is a thin elastic band that runs around the entire piece. This also aids in support and helping to keep chestier women 'stowed.'

The entire thing is put on much like a jacket and fastens in the front. It closes with one plastic hook that goes through a fabric loop. This is a great design if you plan on taking it off because it's easy to remove quickly and without damaging the fabric. To also aid in holding it shut, two ribbons are attached to each side that you can tie.

According to Escante you should follow these size measurements;

Small:
Dress size: 2 - 6
Cups: A - B
Bust: 32 - 34
Waist: 24 - 26
Hip: 30 - 32

Medium:
Dress size: 6 - 10
Cups: B - C
Bust: 34 - 36
Waist: 28 - 30
Hips: 32 - 34

Large
Dress size: 10 - 14
Cups: C - D
Bust: 36 - 38
Waist: 32 - 34
Hips: 34 - 36

I got a medium, but the measurement you have to look at is the bust. Because the cups have a lot of give, it should be fine if you are between 'letters' as I often am. Seeing as it's the tightest around the underbust, that is where you want to judge this piece by.

My issue with this piece (aside from it not setting the mood I wanted it to) is that the wiring on the sides of the bust kind of presses into my breasts and gives them a strange shape. This isn't uncomfortable and won't be noticed easily, but it doesn't help me to feel sexy.

Quality and material
This babydoll is made of a mix of nylon and spandex, and has two different fabrics. One is a light ivory mesh-like fabric, and the other is light purple, floral lace. The lace is mainly on the cups, and the rest is made of the ivory fabric.

This piece will last the longest if you hand wash it, but if you can't do that I would recommend washing it in cold water in a delicates bag, you should also clip the front shut before you toss it into the washer to make sure that it doesn't snag into anything. This needs to be either lain flat to dry or hung dry.

There are no loose strings or stitches at all on this piece. It feels very well made and the edges all seem to be well hemmed where they need to be. I feel like, if properly cared for, this piece will last a very long time. The small hook is also reinforced, making this even sturdier.

Overall
This is a cute and basic piece, but it just doesn't have the pizazz and romance that I'm looking for. For our 3 year anniversary I'm going to order something else with a bit more oomph, but for a different event this would be a great babydoll.
