Burlesque pin up garter dress - camisole discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by Pete's Princess

I have several items from Leg Avenue. Every one is very well made and this garter dress is no exception. The material is durable and will last through many a play session. The seams are strong, evenly spaced and there are no loose threads. The purple color is rich and deep. The detailing on the front, sides and especially the back were unique and made it a great addition to my lingerie collection. I was so excited to try this on.

Once I had it on, my excitement ended. The main problem is that there is no adjustability. NONE. The cups sit on my breasts as opposed to my breasts sitting in the cups. The reason is that there is no band adjustment in the back to tighten it. To get a clear picture unhooked the back of your bra. You have great supportive cups with no ability to support. This makes the well made underwire cups useless. Next the straps are not adjustable. I have never had any piece of lingerie that had straps you could not adjust. What was Leg Avenue thinking? The final let down in the adjustability aspect is the garters. Again no adjustment. The garters are also not removable.

Design
The gorgeous design is what led me to choose this chemise. The front features a deep purple material in a V-shape that runs from the top half of the cups down the center of the chemise.

The purple is covered with a soft floral lace material.

The V-shape is very slimming. The purple material with lace overlay is also in a half circle shape over each of your hips. The design takes your eyes away from the waist and puts them on the breasts and hips. The material is thick and stretchy and holds you in all the right places which is also quite slimming.

There are three 2.5" non-removable purple bows. One between the cups and one on each hip.

Cups have a medium amount of padding and underwire that allows for good shaping. Unfortunately, there is no band adjustment.


Along the bottom is a 1" thick elastic band and 4 - 3" garters. The garters have metal clasps covered by black ribbon. The garters cannot be adjusted or removed.


The back has a great lace up detail. it is an inverted V-shape. This allows you to decide how much of your booty you want to reveal. It is also good for those who have generous hips.

Hand wash cold. Only non-chlorine bleach when needed. Drip dry. Do not iron.

This will need to have some major work done to it to make it wearable for me. The lack of ability to make any adjustments is such an incredible let down. I have never been disappointed by a Leg Avenue product until now. I gave it three stars only because of the high quality and excellent design. Most if not all women will need to make some alterations to be able to wear this. If I get the time and energy, I may alter it or have it altered because it is so beautiful.

If this was adjustable in the straps, band and garters, it would get 5 stars. However, as a result of the lack of adjustability, I am taking off 2 stars.
