Diamond jacquard pantyhose - hosiery by Baci - review by Breas

The Diamond Jaquard Pantyhose by Baci are available in one-size-fits-most only. I am a size XL, but have tried many of the Baci pantyhose and they have fit me quite well. I really like the Baci pantyhose because they have interesting patterns on them. I purchased the Diamond Jaquard Pantyhose to wear beneath a skirt while out in public.

The pantyhose arrived packaged in a thin rectangular cardboard box. The front of the box states the company website and has a photo of a model wearing the pantyhose. The back of the packaging has a photo of the back side of the model wearing the pantyhose and states the product name, size, material composition, and care instructions. I don’t use the packaging to keep the stockings in while they are not being worn. I prefer to keep mine in my stockings/sock drawer. The packaging can be recycled.



Inside of the box, the pantyhose are wrapped around a thin piece of cardboard and inside of a plastic bag. The pantyhose are 100% nylon. The material is very stretchy in both length and width. I’ve taken measurements of the pantyhose laying flat and have indicated which measurements were of the stockings stretched and which were not. Waistband unstretched: 8 inches
Waistband stretched as much as I could: 26 inches
Length of pantyhose unstretched: 37 inches
Length of pantyhose stretched as much as I could: well over 60 inches

The waistband is a double layer of material and is approximately 1 inch in length. The top 8 inches (in length-unstretched) of the pantyhose is a solid black colour. The more you need to stretch this area, the more sheer it becomes. Beneath these 8 inches is the patterned area of the pantyhose. This material of the pantyhose much thinner than the top area of the pantyhose and it is also much more sheer. Down the side of each leg, there is a diamond pattern. There are 34 diamonds that run in a vertical line down the outside of each leg. The diamonds stop right before the reinforcement in the toes. There is no liner in the crotch of the pantyhose.



So when I put the pantyhose on, it was fairly easy. You do need to make sure the diamonds line up on the side of your leg but this is simple to do and only takes a few seconds. With the pantyhose being so stretchy, I was able to fit into them width wise. Unfortunately though, these pantyhose were made for people much shorter than me. I’m 5’6 and the crotch part of the pantyhose was a few inches below my actual crotch. No matter how hard I tried to pull them up higher, they just wouldn’t fit me in length.


This is frustrating because 99% of the Baci pantyhose that I have, have the length I need. Only one other pair of Baci pantyhose that I’ve tried were just as short as these. The other pantyhose that I had that were the same length (too short) ended up ripping entirely while I was out dancing one evening. I’d recommend these pantyhose for those who are 5’4 in height or shorter.

Other than the pantyhose being too short, the material was soft and comfortable against the skin. I do not have any complaints of skin irritation while wearing them. The packaging states that the pantyhose should be hand washed separately in cold water and line dried. The pantyhose should not be bleached.

I’m giving these pantyhose a 4 out of 5. I’ve only deducted one star for the lack of length. I think these pantyhose would be lovely for someone who is shorter than me. I love the pattern, they’re inexpensive, they stretch to fit, and they’re comfortable. It’s really annoying that they don’t have a bit more length so I could wear them without fear of destroying them.

I feel like I was generous when I rated the Diamond Jacquard Pantyhose. If I could change the rating I had given it, I'd change it to a 3 out of 5. They're nice pantyhose but I consider my height to be pretty average. The fact that they are so short is really disappointing.
