Purr-fect garter booty short - sexy panty discontinued by Fantasy Lingerie - review by Adriana Ravenlust

I bought these booty shorts to mainly server as panties, which they do very well.

As a garter piece, they serve well enough. There's 2 garters straps in front and back, both of which are elastic and adjustable. Other pieces might offer more support with more garter straps. The back straps are adjusted to be longer out of the package. However, all four are the same length. The maximum length is 10" while it can be as short at 6". All the hardware on the garters is plastic, which I find to be more comfortable than metal. The hooks are the end are the slide-in tab type. The part that lies against the skin is a squishy rubber-like plastic and is translucent, so you won't necessarily see the grips on the tops of your stockings/thigh highs. I would worry that this soft plastic might rip; however, the detachable garters means that you don't have to machine wash them. You can spot clean by hand, if need be.



The garters are a bright red, like the contrasting borders of these leopard-printed panties. The tops of the garter straps have plastic hooks that slide into fabric loops on the bottom of the panties. If you've ever worn a strapless bra, it's the same concept. When the straps are removed, the panties look normal. The loops aren't noticeable.

What is noticeable is how freakin' hot these panties are. The front and back panels are a polyester leopard print. The entire panty is bordered in bright red, as are the panels. The sides consist of a sort of flocked mesh that looks more delicate than it is. It can clearly be seen on the product page. It offers a hint of skin but the hipster cut isn't super revealing. In fact, I like the full coverage.

I went for a size medium, based on another reviewer's suggestions on the strechiness. It fits very well on my 41" hips and is advertised for hips at 39½ - 42½. My well-endowed derriere is just covered by the back, however. You might want to take that into consideration. Still, this is a stretchy piece and is quite accommodating. It seems to run similar to Victoria's Secret sizes.

I wore this all day, including on a walk in the warm weather. While the material isn't as breathable as cotton, I never had to adjust them once. I haven't worn panties this comfortable in months, and they blow the Temptation Hipster by Seven Til Midnight out of the water. There's no annoying tag, too.

What really sells this is their durability. The tag says to wash on gentle with warm water. I just tossed mine in the washer on regular cycle and they came out looking brand new. There wasn't a single snag in the mesh or any fraying at all. I LOVE that this isn't a demanding piece.

The only slight complaint I have is that the crotch liner could be longer but it's in a good position.

I really wish that Fantasy Lingerie made this piece in more colors. I would buy them all!

Since writing my review, I've washed and worn this a handful of times. It does seem like it's shrunk slightly. Also, there's a small tear forming in the mesh, near the seam on the back. This makes me sad because, otherwise, it's in great shape and has really held up. I will probably buy one or two pairs more, and perhaps one in a size larger just to have some more space.

Still, I'll probably wear these until there's more holes than fabric. ;)
