Life's enchanted cincher sparkles near the brim. (Large)
Even though this cincher has some *minor* defects, they don't detract from my overall enjoyment of this piece. This is a very fun and sexy piece of lingerie that will no doubt get a good amount of wear in and out of the bedroom.Published: December 15, 2011
Pros:
Sparkly, Flattering, Detachable garters, Pretty, Comes with a hanger, Highly adjustable
Cons:
Minor defects in craftsmanship. Has to be hand washed (duh).
My favorite thing about this cincher is that it's so brilliantly sparkly, but doesn't add any visual bulk to my torso as I feared that it might. It's really very flattering, in fact. I also adore the fact that it can be worn in the bedroom, with or without a bra and with or without stockings, or as part of an outfit whilst out on the town.
Obviously, since this is a $52.99 novelty piece, it's not going to hold up to the same kind of pressure as a $200+ honest-to-God corset, but it still seems like a reasonably sturdy piece.
This cincher is made of 100% polyester. The front has 15 hook-and-eye closures with a nice little modesty flap to go behind them. All of the sequins are very orderly and I don't see any defects in the placement of sequins. The cincher has 14 total strips of light metal boning to provide for subtle but effective body shaping. The trim on the top and bottom, as well as the lacing panels, is very shiny black fabric. The lacing panel has a dozen rows of silver-colored metal grommets. The lacing is a verrrrrrry long slender black ribbon. The detachable garters don't have the same adjusting mechanisms as the ones in the picture (I don't know the different terms for the said mechanisms, but I have pictures, so there). The garters adjust from about 6 1/2" to about 10". They adjust easily but don't slip at all once adjusted. I've included pics of the garters at their shortest and their longest. Hopefully, my pics aren't deemed obscene.
Ok, I ordered this in a Large. According to the size chart, this should fit: Bust 38-40, Waist 30-32, Hip 40-42. This garment doesn't go around the bust, but my UNDERBUST is almost in this range at 37" (I have a massive ribcage with a nice layer of fat to match). My waist is 32" and my hips are 42". I normally wear a 16 in womens' clothing. Just some context for the pictures. I know my room is busy so I tried to get pictures in front of a blank canvas.

It should come as no surprise that this is a handwash-only, hang dry-only garment. I haven't washed mine yet, but I'm confident that I won't have any issues with sequins coming off or anything when it comes time to wash it. It's probably a good idea to be extra gentle, anyhow.
My cincher came with a nice padded hanger covered with soft satiny black material, though the other lady who reviewed this says hers didn't.

Experience
The six bottom spikes flare out a little bit from my skin at the bottom of the cincher, but it's not something I really mind. It might not do this on other folks. I don't have full hips or an ass to quite fill out the spike areas (refer to pics if this sounds confusing), and it's not adjustable since the spikes extend below the area that is adjustable by lacing.
I think the cincher came laced up with the bow being tied between the 7th and 8th rows of grommets. My body wouldn't have this, as I have a high waist and a loooooong torso, and when I tried to lace it up, the sides started to buckle because the garment disagreed with where my waist was supposed to be.....BUT, I simply unlaced the lacing and moved the bow tying point between the 5th and 6th rows, and TADAAAAAA it fit PERFECTLY.

Fully Boned Sequin Waist Cincher - Back in Stock?
-
Hey all. Does anyone know if Eden's planning to restock this in the medium? I might be able to get a large to work, but I think a medium would work better in terms of it actually working out as a waist cincher/corset type thing.

Your best bet is going to be to submit a support ticket :)

I would think so. It's gotten good reviews so far and has received a lot of attention, and Coquette stuff tends to sell well. Additionally, the Coquette lingerie tends to be restocked pretty quickly, probably because they're good sellers. Did you set an alert for the item? You can set an alert by clicking the yellow bell symbol next to the out of stock item, and selecting the alert option. When it is restocked, an email will be sent to you that lets you know!
