The Dream Girl Love is Beautiful Bustier is available in black or white. It includes the bustier and matching thong as well as removable garters and straps. It has underwire cups for added support. I tend to have problems with sizing and quality with Dream Girl items, but I really liked the design of this bustier. I decided to give it a chance despite some previous problems with the brand.

Packaging

The bustier is packaged in plastic. There is no hanger.



Sizing

The bustier is available in S, M, L, 1X, and 3X. I have this in the large. For the large I should have a dress size between 10-14. My waist should be between 28"-32". My hips should be between 38"-40". My cup size should be C-D and measure between 36"-38".



The large bustier is 19" long. It is 14" under the bust. At the waist is 14.25". At the bottom is 14.75". Each cup is 6" across and 5" down. The straps and garters are adjustable. The back has three hook and eye closures. These are .25" apart each. The thong is 15.5" across. It is 7.75" down. It has a 4.25" cotton liner.



My actual dress size is a 6. My waist is 28" and my hips are 39". My cups are a 34DD/36D. I wear the bustier comfortably on the second closure. It's not tight anywhere on me and will easily fit the suggested size ranges. The cups hold my breasts nicely and push them up some. If you're below a C cup you may run into an issue with not filling the cups out entirely. The thong was comfortable on me and useable.

Material

Both the bustier and thong are 100% nylon. The fabric on the inside of the bustier and thong is a bit stiff and has an itchy quality to it. It's not soft against the skin and isn't comfortable to have on for extended periods. The outside of both the thong and bustier is wrapped in floral lace. This is also scratchy to the touch and stiff. You can see the lace design below.



Design

The top of the cups have a thick lace on the top of them. This extends past the cup to give a scalloped appearance to the cups. Below this thick band of lace the cups begin the regular floral lace that the bustier is made of. It's hard to tell that there are two different laces unless you are up close on the bustier. The middle is made of the black floral lace. There are two straight stripes of black lace down the middle of the bustier. At the bottom of each of these stripes are black bows that are not removable. They could be removed if you're hand with a sewing machine. The very bottom of the bustier is sheer black lace with no solid backing. It's done in a wave pattern so that where the bows are come down the furthest and where the middle is comes up the highest. A small potion of the back is done in the black floral lace. The rest is a sheer mesh material to which the hook and eye closures are attached.



The Inside

The cups of the bustier are underwire. I found that they offered a good amount of support for lingerie, but not on par with a quality bra. The straps and garters are removable.

The boning is made of plastic. There are three lines of boning on each side and three in the middle. The three on the side start out small and gradually get larger. The ones in the middle go small, large, small. The plastic boning seems to be decent quality. It doesn't do a lot in terms of squeezing in or creating shape, but it doesn't bend out of shape. It isn't poking out in any places. If I twist the bustier around the boning remains firm.



Quality

The seaming on this bustier is some of the best I've seen in a Dream Girl piece. All of the seams line up nicely and there's no extra fabric. I could find only one loose thread on the entire piece. The lace on the cups had some fraying on it, but nothing that was so bad I would consider this a low quality piece. Overall I'm very happy with the quality of the bustier.



Care

The bustier and thong should be hand washed in cold water. They should be line dried. They should not be ironed, bleached, or placed in the drier.

One of the things I like about bustiers and corsets is that they tend to bring my waist in a little more. My waist comes in on its own, but the more I can bring it in, the happier I am. With the bustier I felt like that didn't happen. In fact, I felt like I looked a little boxy in this. Somehow it seemed to make my waist and hips look about even in size, which isn't good. I also didn't like how the lace at the bottom added size to my hips. Since my hips are my largest area, I don't want to add size there. It did lift my breasts up nicely and give a good amount of support.

From a design standpoint, I found that the different types of black lace used just didn't stand out enough. They all sort of blend together and you can't really see the difference between the laces unless you're looking for it. I didn't even realize there was a band of lace on the cups until I sat down to do the review (but then I have awful eyesight). What I liked about the design in the photos was the lace accent at the bottom, but I feel like it sort of gets lost in the other lace. It just doesn't stand out as much as I'd hoped.

I like that this offers support. I like that the thong actually fits. I don't like that the material is uncomfortable and it just doesn't look as pretty in person as it does in the product photo. Maybe on another body type this would work, but on mine it's not as great. My husband did quite like this though, which is the saving grace for this bustier. It's something I'll probably put on every now and again just for him.
