Love The Top, Not So Much The Bottom

Above average quality item relative to the cost. Can be worn to enhance the mood, or just go crazy and consider it disposable in a moment of passion. Runs small, so you may want to order up.

I ordered this as part of the review program because it looked really pretty in the photos and I don't have many items that include a robe as part of the set. I consulted the measurement chart and ordered an XL. When it arrived I was disappointed that it ran small. It was really quite small. I thought the shorts might be on the snug size, but the robe was also far too small.

About the size- when you look at the photos on the site, the robe stays closed over the model's breasts. It must be pinned because it will never, ever cover you up like that and stay closed unless you are very tiny and order up. It's a challenge to even keep it closed at the waist because of the small size and the slippery material. There's just not enough fabric to really wear it as a robe. On me, it was just easier to put it over another item and let it fall at my sides. The boy shorts ended up way too small on me to even be flattering. They are also very, very low cut and will likely hit you wrong if you have any "muffin top" going on.

The material gets a mixed review. The sheer part of the fabric is pretty and stitched quire decently to hold up in a cold water hand washing. Note that the black color bleeds heavily for several washings and you will want to do this item separately. The lace trim on the end of the sleeves is the same material that is used for the boy shorts, and it is of a lesser quality. The ends of the robe sleeves arrived frayed and just keep doing it. With any type of "activity", the sleeves are going to snag and likely not hold up to much use. The boy shorts are essentially just two tubes of lace sewn together. I know this is a common method of construction on cheaper boy shorts but frankly, I hate it. They don't fit well unless you have a very small ass and no belly, and they just started falling apart immediately.

As for usage, since the fit wasn't that great, I didn't want to wear the shorts in front of my partner. They just didn't flatter me. The robe didn't want to stay closed so I just wore it open over another set I had and used the belt for some light BDSM. For the price, that worked for me, but I really wish it would hold up to more use rather than being essentially disposable after a few wearings. This isn't a deal breaker for me since I got it as a review product, but if I had paid for it, I suspect I wouldn't be as happy.
