Satin and lace corset with hook and eye closure - corset discontinued by Coquette - review by Dixiemomma

This corset by Coquette is a beautiful lace over satin, fully boned fashion corset and was my very first purchased from Eden Fantasys. I have to say that all in all I am very pleased with this piece! I haven't found any flaws in the stitching or material; it fits beautifully and is surprisingly shape enhancing even with the usually flimsy plastic boning. The purpose of a corset, traditionally, is to give the wearer an hourglass figure, regardless of their normal shape. The boning holds your upright and prevents slumping while also smoothing and taming any unsightly bulges by not allowing them a place to go, while the lacing in the back gives you a more custom fit and shape. That's with metal boning however. This is more of a fashion corset, as it has plastic boning that really conforms more to your shape instead of forcing you to conform to it, so it doesn't quite hold everything as strictly in place but does offer some shaping. But this one does more than most and really gave me a much more flattering shape and holy cow looks at the cleavage! This is definitely a quality piece that will find a lot of use in and out of the bedroom. This corset is plenty long enough to wear out on the town with a sexy pair of jeans.



I ordered the 1X/2X as I have a broad chest and admittedly some belly issues, I'm a 44DD and typically wear about a 2X top in most things. I am on the larger end of the size scale for this but as I like my corsets to be a bit more sever in their shaping I opted to go ahead and try this size instead of going up one. I did have to extend the lacing out most of the way in order to get it on but once adjusted so that everything was in place properly it fit very well, I was even able to shimmy into it, with a little work, with the eye hooks already fastened. For those that need just a tiny bit more room in this it actually has 2 rows of eye hooks with a modesty panel behind them so as to not let your belly show through. It also comes with removable and adjustable shoulder straps and 6 detachable garter straps. I love the shaping effect of a corset as I actually used to have an hourglass figure before I had kids, lets me see myself as I used to be, and my Mister just likes to see me held ridged and somewhat uncomfortable by the boning, which this does do, don't expect to breathe deeply while wearing a corset, it just won’t happen! Oh and did I mention, corset cleavage ROCKS!


You want to be careful how you clean your corsets as you don't want to ruin the shape or material, obviously the washing machine and dryer are huge no-no's. If necessary stick to spot cleaning or hand washing with a gentle detergent being careful not to bend it unnecessarily. To dry it lay it stretched out flat or hanging straight. And unless you have a drawer big enough to lay your corsets in flat, you’re going to want to hang them in the closet; they even come with a nice, padded hanger with thumbtacks in the top to hold the loops in place while hanging.

I still think this is one of the prettiest pieces I own. Though it hasn't been worn a lot in the past few months, I've really enjoyed it the times I have. It gets a lot of compliments and friends wanting to borrow it. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a nice quality fashion corset.
