Top and shorts - bra and panty set discontinued by DreamGirl - review by Breas

The Top and Shorts set by DreamGirl is available in the colours red, black, or fuchsia. I ordered the fuchsia coloured outfit. The set is only available in one-size-fits-most.

The outfit was packaged in a cardboard box when it arrived. The front of the package states the company name, colour of outfit, size of outfit, and has a photo of a model wearing the outfit. The back of the packaging has a brief description of the item, company website, and a back view of the model wearing the outfit. Inside of the cardboard box, the items were in a plastic bag. I don’t find the packaging very idea for storing the outfit when it’s not being worn. I keep lingerie pieces like this in a drawer.



The outfit is 90% nylon and 10% spandex. The outfit is stretchy. The lace has give to it, and the straps on both the top and bottoms are elastic band. The packaging states that the one-size-fits-most is best for those within the weight bracket of 90-160lbs. I’m just above the highest weight in that bracket but with the OSFM items, I can usually squeeze my way into them.

Chest (armpit to armpit) unstretched: 14 inches
Chest (armpit to armpit) stretched as much as I could: 24 inches
Length of top (armpit to bottom of top): 6 inches
Neck ties length: 18 ½ inches each

Bottoms
Waistband (the top elastic band above the criss cross section) unstretched: 10 ½ inches

I wear a C cup, and I found that the top of this set flattened my boobs. It wasn’t uncomfortable, but it made my chest look much smaller. The top does not have any underwire or padding. The top has long neck ties made of elastic band which tie behind your neck. The ties are quite long (see measurements above) so the ties should not become an issue for anybody.

The first thing I noticed with the bottoms is that the sewing job done on the criss-crossed section is ridiculous. It seems as though they had sewn it the wrong way… basically on the outside of the criss-crossed section, where the bands meet, there is stitching to hold it together. The stitches on the outside of the panty are messy, loose, and frayed. When I looked at the stitching on the opposite side of this (the inside of the panty), it looked very neat and less noticeable. This is why I think they may have messed up the stitching. The ugly area should be sitting on the inside of the panty, not the outside. My partner wouldn’t notice this flaw because he really isn’t that observant when I’m wearing lingerie but it’d still be nice if it was done properly. There is a lining in the panty. The photo below shows the stitching issue. The photo on the left hand side is the outside of the panty, and the right hand side is the stitching on the inside.



I found the material to be non-irritating to my skin while I was wearing it. With being an XL, there was a bit of muffin-top action going on while I wore the panties, but it wasn’t so much where I felt uncomfortable or insecure about it. When you put the panties on, you’ll need to take a moment to adjust the criss-cross section to sit nicely against your body, but it only takes a few seconds to do this.

The care tag in the outfit states that it should be hand washed in cold water and line dried.

Overall, I’m happy with the outfit. The price is good and it is a really sexy bedroom outfit! I’ve given the outfit a 4 out of 5 stars. I deducted one star for the stitching issue I mentioned previously. I’m not sure though if this is the way all of the pieces were made or if mine was just defective.
