The Before: When first receiving the Bound by Diamonds Garter Skirt and G-String set my mind was positive. The set comes with two pieces, first you have the garter skirt and then you have the G-string, just like advertised. The set does not come with either the bra or the stockings shown in the photo. It arrives in the box advertised, and inside it is wrapped in thin crinkly plastic. If you are looking to give this as a gift the box shows exactly what the person is getting so use discretion if in public settings.

The Look: The set is designed to have the shiny wet look. The thong is designed as a simple triangular piece of the shiny fabric that has three separate straps sewn into it at the corners. The stitching of the fabrics can be seen from the inside and the outside of the thong.The edges of the shiny fabric are folded over the stretchy pieces and sewn, this can only be seen from the back. The tag for the thong is at the top of the piece it is a medium sized tag that has a rigid feel. The garter portion is made from the same shiny material, but also a light sheer mesh fabric, and a stretchy nylon band to make up the garters and the back portion. It has 4 garters, a set in front and a set in back, these are made to be adjustable. The base of the garters is a hole in plug style rather then gator-clips. At the front of the garter is a string of "diamonds" otherwise known as glass, held in place by a plastic fitting. This spans the potion of the shiny fabric.

The Wear: One size fits most is a bit of a lie with this piece, if you got hips don't bother unless you can do with out the diamonds. The thongs design is cheaply done, it cuts into the skin sharply so wearing it for more then an hour is not really an option. The Nylon that makes up the back potion of the thong can rub extremely hard making it very painful to wear also, if you do much movement this may not work well for you. The thong can't really be seen under the garter skirt, and it's a good thing of it. The thong is puffy around the bottom, and makes your girl look a bit bigger then she should be. The design of the garter belt also causes some problems for those with bigger hips. There is no give in the diamond strand and this can cause it to dig into the skin above it. At the edges of the strand there is small bits of fabric sticking out from where it was cute from another one, these can rub against the skin and cause it to itch badly. The back nylon piece does make the skirt itself more comfortable to be worn, and fits easily around my size 33 hip. The seams inside the hips is quite large and also rub causing chafing if one for extended periods of time. The garters hold onto most fabric well, and the ability to change the lengths of these make them easier to fit to multiple kinds of stockings. The garters do have a bit of extra fabric where they are sewn into the skirt, that can also cause some rubbing. If you take off the diamonds this fits great, and comfy for a quickie otherwise you want a different garter. The Skirt is super cute and will flatter slimmer figures, but with a slight modification bigger hipped girls will look just as great in it.
Sizing: None Given, but one size does not fit most with this one.

The Wash: The directions on the back of the thong state that the fabric is a mix of polyurethane and polyester. It advises to hand wash in cold water only. I would also recommend hang drying it as the dryer may rip off the diamond belt as it did mine. When it comes to this set, cheating with the washer and dryer are not options.

Modifications: To take off the gems is super easy, you simply snip them around where they are sewn in. Just be careful to not snip the fabric as it cuts super easy. There are three places that you have to cut the two sides and then one in the middle. A seam ripper will also work well. I placed a bit of mole skin on the seams and that helped to prevent rubbing greatly making the garter skirt much more bearable. The places that the garters connect you can easily snip off the extra then heat it with a lighter to seal it up.

The bound by diamonds garter set was a bust from the start. I ended up just getting rid of the entire set. The garters began to fray badly and stretched out to the point that they would not go back to the original length. The diamonds had been a flop from the start, as I took them off I noticed many had missing gems, making this piece look even cheaper. Over all this set is better left on the proverbial shelf.
