This was one piece of lingerie that I (literally) could not wait to take off. Unfortunately, though, it wasn't for any sexy reasons.

Packaging:

The outfit came wrapped in a clear plastic bag. A hanger was included. The hanger was just a plain black plastic one, not padded. I don't hang my lingerie, so this didn't sway my opinion of the outfit.

Fit:

The fit of this outfit was a little off. Being of the rounder variety, I ordered a plus size. In the picture, the chemise/babydoll is shown hanging to the the model's mid-thigh. I'm rather tall, and I was excited to get a babydoll that hung lower. However, when I tried it on, it hit right at the top of my thighs and even exposed a little of my pubic area. That was a big disappointment. The cups also were a little less padded than I prefer. The panties, in my opinion, are completely useless. They're a strange hybrid of a g-string and a brief, and are just completely uncomfortable. I immediately threw them in the back of my closet and replaced them with a pair of my own black panties. However, it was true to the measurements. I wouldn't recommend ordering up or down a size on this one. I'm 5'9, with a 47 inch bust, 35 inch waist, and 45 inch hips. I ordered the 2x and the fit was spot on, except for the length.

Design:

The design of this, in the pictures, seemed extremely elegant and chic. That's what drew me to it in the first place. I'm a fan of simpler lingerie sets. This was simple, but absolutely did not look the same on me as it looked on the model. While I realize that this is a common thing, I was still a little bit disheartened. However, all frames are different, and the simple design of this piece might hang a little differently on you than it did me. The stitching on the cups is gorgeous, the ruffle on the bottom is cute, and the robe, though odd, is good for covering the upper arms if that's an area of insecurity for you.

Material:

The material of this piece is what tipped the scale in the negative direction for me. What looked to be a pretty, sheer mesh in the pictures turned out to be an awful, semi-opaque, itchy mess. As soon as I put it on I couldn't wait to take it off. I snapped a few pictures for my partner, then got right back into my street clothes. The cups were made of a less sheer fabric, which was smoother, but the stitching on the inside rubbed against my nipples in a most unpleasant way. I did find that taking off the robe and just wearing the chemise made it a bit more sheer, which I liked.

Quality:

I am a lingerie addict. And I normally choose to save my money and buy very high end, quality pieces that I know will last a lifetime (fun fact: my partner still teases me about the fact I spent 45 USD on a pair of custom made underwear). This was, cost wise, the cheapest piece I've ever owned. While it didn't fall apart, it definitely wasn't as well made as the other lingerie pieces I own. Some of the stitching is a little iffy, the material is horribly itchy, and it just looked a little strange on me. However, if you're looking for an inexpensive piece that will go right on and come right off, this might be the piece for you. It definitely won't break the bank.

Care:

The set is made out of nylon, which can be washed in warm, sudsy water. However, due to the stitching, I recommend hand washing this and avoiding the machine. I haven't tried the machine, but it definitely seems to me like it could fall apart in the washing machine.

Like I said earlier, I was a little disappointed with this set. My partner picked it out, and while he was pleased, I was a little let down. The quality just wasn't up to my standards. However, this outfit drove my partner crazy. The pictures I took for him while wearing it got him going. So it's definitely got some sort of sexy factor going on. Overall I don't regret acquiring this piece, I just don't see myself wearing it often.

To wrap all this up, if you're used to high end pieces, I recommend skipping this outfit. But if you're looking for something cheap and sexy, and don't bother being a little itchy while you wait for your lover to take it off (or tear it off!) definitely give this one a second chance.

While my fella still maintains that this piece looks sexy as sin on me, I've yet to pull it out of the lingerie pile again. It's simply too scratchy and odd looking to be making regular appearances. While it's not awful, I'll be saving up my money for higher quality pieces in the future.
