Description: A one piece faux-wrap jersey-knit dress featuring a formfitting v-neck top and flowy skirt bottom. The right side of the dress has an extra layer of fabric that you can tie with a band from the left side to create the wrap effect and a ribbon.

Initial Impressions

I was excited to wear this dress once I got it out of its plastic covering. It seemed to be stitched well (even and no loose threads). However, like all other Eden dresses, the material is very thin. I soon learned that this thinness resulted in unwanted sheerness and that the dress clung to emphasized unwanted pockets of fat.

Pros

1. Good length: I'm 5'3", and this dress falls 3/4 of the way down my thighs. Since it's free flowing on the bottom, the dress cannot ride up at all. But beware when crossing vents!

2. Really comfortable: The dress is extremely stretchy and as the material is soft and thin, your body feels like it's wearing hardly anything. Great to move around in.

3. Good price: Compared to other dresses on Eden, $27 is quite a bargain for something you can potentially wear outside.

4. Good design: The design is unique and lives up to its name of elegant. The faux wrap is a simple touch but makes it cute and sophisticated. The dress also makes sure to be a bit more modest, so both the front and the back are not too low-cut, which allows you to wear this out during the day.

5. Wear any bra: The straps of the dress are more than thick enough to cover up bra straps. Furthermore, the back is not so low cut that your bra will show. Feel free to wear any bra with the knowledge that it will be covered up.

6. Craftsmanship looks great: There are no loose ends at all. Everything seems to be sown well and will last a while.

Cons

1. Incredibly sheer: If I hold this dress up, I can see right through it. Furthermore, you can see your underwear and panty right underneath, unless you are wearing nude colors. While I couldn't see my tag through the clothing, other reviews have written that the information tag is even visible under the fabric. Thus, I recommend wearing either a slip underneath or nude underwear.

2. Wrinkles easily: As composed of thin jersey-knit material, this dress wrinkles very easily. When I took the dress out of its package, it was incredibly wrinkled. I'm sure you can either put this in your bathroom to let steam undo the wrinkles or iron it out with a layer above the dress so that you do not damage it. However, do take notice that if you sit down for a while, when you get up, the dress may very well be wrinkled.

3. Emphasizes unwanted pockets of fat unevenly: I have weight on my hips, but I didn't expect this dress, especially as it's free flowing, to show. However, it did because of its sheerness and clinging quality. The right side of the dress, which has two layers because it's a faux wrap, covers up my fat because the cloth is thick enough that the front layer (not the layer next to my skin) does not cling to my body. However, the one-layer thick left side is right next to my body and shows the profile of my love handles quite visibly. Perhaps if you wear a slip underneath, the dress will cling less. In any case, wearing it like it is without anything else will definitely emphasize unwanted areas.

Conclusion

This dress was very comfortable, but due to its sheerness and body-clinging qualities, I don't think I will be wearing this outside. I want to wear this as a summer dress and with another layer underneath, the dress may be too hot to wear under warmer weather. That said, I think this dress would be great to wear to the beach over a bikini. I can definitely imagine this as great beachwear coverup with a nice white hat. That would truly look sophisticated and chic.

Okay, but not stellar. The hip hugging fat thing prevents me from really wanting to wear this outside. It may not be the most evident in the pictures, but I think the video is a little clearer in showing that when I turn around.
