Chemise, thong and dvd - chemise discontinued by DreamGirl - review by So Long Ya Doofuses!

The chemise is made from stretchy fishnet-patterned nylon and although it might look like a stocking leg at first glance the material stays stretched after taking it off. The quality of the material is decent, though not spectacular. The chemise ties in the back halter style with a leopard-print band at the bust and at the bottom of the garment. Therefore, the best way to put this chemise on is to step into it and pull it up then make adjustments once the halter back is tied. I'm exactly 5 ft. tall and weigh about 120 lbs., so as a petite woman the chemise stretched for me quite well and the bottom hem hit right around mid-thigh. No doubt it could be stretched a bit more in any direction for those who need it, but whatever the size of the body, the material will hug the skin tightly. Every curve is visible and nothing is left to the imagination (which might be favorable for some but not for all). Unlike what is shown in the picture on the box the netting is not so small that the areola and nipple of each breast will become invisible. Rather, it accentuates this as well as other parts of the body.






The thong is made of the same type of nylon fishnet material as the chemise, albeit with no leopard print. It might be a bit difficult at first to distinguish the back from the front, but just remember that the slightly larger triangle goes forward. The front can be stretched wide enough to cover most of the pubic area, which can be good for those who shave infrequently or not at all (myself included). There is a strip of more tightly-woven nylon at the crotch of the thong for coverage and protection. The side strings are thin yet stretchable although the quality of the stitching looks a bit questionable. As someone who wears US size 6-8 in pants and dresses, I found wearing the thong to be fairly comfortable, especially since the stretchy back strip of nylon material did not dig into my butt like other thongs tend to do. Like the chemise, the thong will remain stretched out a bit after wearing it and likely will not return to its initial size.






The DVD included, "101 Positions for Lovers" is an instructional video made with the intention of "keeping passion in monogamy". The running time is about 112 minutes (despite claiming to be 70 minutes on the disc; the box is more accurate). Through the main menu, there is the option to play the video straight through or to play certain sections based on the couple, type of position, skill level or specific needs (more clit or G-spot stimulation, longer male endurance, and extra support for her). There is also bonus footage that contains the audition and interview tapes for each of the three couples shown in the video.

The three couples themselves are very down to earth and not nearly as fake as the couple on the box (who are not even featured). Two of the couples are married and the third is close to celebrating their second dating anniversary. They express their honest opinions and experiences throughout the filming, letting the viewer know that these are actual people with real bodies and real relationships. Even in one of the scenes where the woman orgasms she immediately looks at her husband and they both laugh with relief.

Jayme Waxman, M.Ed, makes two things clear in her introduction; her target audience is the long-term heterosexual couple (since "monogamy can get monotonous"), and the skill required for these positions ranges from basic to that of "your average professional acrobat". It doesn't exactly help that she says all of this with peppy background music that could be in a children's show. This same theme plays in the short interludes that explain the position categories which can throw a wrench into the overall feel of the video. Thankfully, the music that plays during the actual positions is not so bothersome that it detracts from the viewing experience.

Waxman narrates for every position and takes some liberties with naming several of them. The second position on the video, "Rub a dub dub", is an early indication that this is not going to be a straight-faced instructional film. Frankly, it's doubtful that one can keep a straight face long enough to "get off" to this video. Some of the narration is slightly ridiculous (like her "dick breaker" warnings) and there are puns galore. To her credit, though, Waxman does take special care to point out the skill level, benefits, and potential hazards or drawbacks involved for almost all of these positions.

This would still make an alright gift for a newlywed couple, but the magic might wear off after a bit. The halter ties of the chemise have become a bit frayed, and neither it nor the thong see the light of day much anymore. I've watched the DVD once more since the initial review, and that was about all I could stand. I simply cannot get over the poor edit quality and the inappropriately peppy music. It is still fairly instructional for those who want to break away from missionary and doggy-style, and perhaps it will give a heterosexual couple something to laugh about. However, a single person looking for serious instructions (such as myself) would probably get fed up with this DVD after about half an hour.
