I was a bit skeptical about getting these because the design is so different from other Coquette panties I own, but after seeing so many positive reviews, I decided to get them. They aren't for me. I ordered the large because of the thick elastic band at the top and don't like how it feels on my hips. It might be my personal preferences on look, fit, and feel, but I don't have much to rave about with the look of these. I can say that they are extremely well made, but run small.

These panties are from Coquette. They are a hip-hugger thong, but ride a little higher than other hip huggers from Coquette. They have a boyish design to them with a fake brief pocket in the front and thick elastic waist band. The pattern is a lot of fun and they come in S, M, L, and XL. You can get the male version too!

*Material: Mixed, very durable


These panties are made of 50% cotton and 50% polyester exclusive of the trim which is the elastic band. The panty is made of a soft but very durable cotton. It has white trim which is what the polyester makes up. It feels a bit like satin and is slightly shiny. The cotton feels the same on both sides and is comfortable to wear. It's also better for personal hygiene because it breaths well.

The pattern on the undies is hilarious. It has all sorts of strange characters on it. You'll want to show it to all your friends! For example there is a cat woman bearing all her bits, a zombie with a large cock, and an emo with a sad penis. Too funny!

*Design/craftsmanship: Excellent

These are VERY well made. The quality is obvious. All the stitching seems nice and secure. I didn't find any stray threads. The elastic band at the top is also really good quality. It's hard for some people to pay more than a few bucks for a pair of underwear, but these really feel like they are worth it and will last a long time.

They are a traditional thong style and hug the hip bones. I don't consider them to be low rise. The front is just as low as the back. For the large they are 15" across the top with a band that is 1 3/4" at the thinnest point on the sides. From the front they look like a typical hip hugging brief. The elastic band is 3/4" thick. It's a good thickness that it won't roll.

There is no panty liner, which I was surprised with. The front has a fake brief look like on whitie tightie men's underwear. It's not functional, but the polyester seams would do a decent job of holding a packer between them. The crotch covers plenty. The back of the thong has a really nice shape. It curves over the upper cheeks nicely and fits between them comfortable.

*Cleaning/packaging: Hand wash, bag/hanger

The panties came on a plastic hanger in a plastic bag with a cardboard tag attached with a ribbon and safety pin. The tag says to hand wash, but I doubt these wouldn't be fin in the washer and dryer. If you want to preserve the pattern, I'd let them air dry.

*Sizing: Run small

Compared to Victoria's Secret and other Coquette size larges, these run small. Larges in those brands for underwear are usually too large on me, sometimes fit perfectly, but rarely ever run small. I chose the large because I figured the elastic would cut in more than a band of lace. I was right. I can totally wear these, but they don't create a seamless look on my 38.5" hips. If I wear them lower where they feel most comfortable there is a little pudge above. If I pull them up where that goes away and is smooth, it peaks a little underneath. This pair of panties just isn't great for hips. My boyfriend think they are really cut and likes the boyish cut to them, but I don't feel that they add any sexiness.

A large says it should fit a size 12-14 with a 30 - 42" hip. I'm a size 8 in most jeans and my hips are about 38.5". I weighed ~144 pounds at the time of this review. They fit, just not the way I prefer. These are more like a medium than a large and the XL would be too big on me, so this style of panty with the elastic band, just does no justice to my curves.

Dress size: 6-8
Panty size: 5, M
Hips: 36-38" if you want it to be smooth, otherwise it'll stretch to fit larger, but it'll cut in

Subjectively I want to rate these 3 stars because they are made so well and have a unique pattern, but they run small compared to most brands. I'm going to give them 4 stars, however. They just don't jive with me and how I like to wear my underwear.

I still have these around somewhere but I have not worn them due to the fit. I still maintain that they are made well, it's just the design is not one that I would prefer.
