Not Entirely Opaque, But Still Awesome (Black)

For the price you really can't beat the quality. You can choose from 4 colors and mix and match them infinitely with almost any outfit. They won't keep your legs toasty warm, but they're a great option for wearing in warmer weather any time you need a knee high look.

extremely useful review
These came in a package much like you might expect any pair of stockings to come in. Wrapped around a cardboard insert with a plastic wrapping and an outer cardboard sheath. The sheath gives you the sizing information, the material, and how to care for your knee highs. Your knee highs are 100% Nylon and should be hand washed in cold water and hung to dry, although you can run them through the washer and dryer at your own risk.

The sizing is pretty much "one size." The packaging lists a height of 5' - 5'10" and a weight of 100-175 pounds, but how well these fit is really going to depend more on the thickness of your calves. I'm about 5'2" tall and weight around 120. I'm about 14" from my heel to the bend under my knee and I had no problem getting these to sit right below my knee fairly comfortably. Unfortunately, they were already stretching out and becoming less opaque at this point, so any taller and they won't be opaque at all on you. I'd put the maximum height there at about 16-17" from the heel. The most important measurement though is the circumference of your calf right below your knee. Mine is about 14 1/2" around and these sat comfortably for a long time, although there were marks left from the band at the top.

The design is fairly simple. Have you ever seen nylon "business socks"? Well that's pretty much what you're getting here. Those are really nice because they can add a nice touch to an outfit that shows leg and allow you to cover up more skin, or if you need thin socks these can step in as well. The top band is about 2" tall and really does provide a nice amount of support. It doesn't roll and it doesn't fall down either.

The rest of the knee high is shaped like a tube sock without formed feet. It can look a little awkward at the toes, but you'll probably be wearing these with closed toe shoes anyway, so that shouldn't be a big deal. There's surprisingly no bunching behind the ankles at all, but I did have a small amount of bunching on the front of my foot in a place or two. Nothing terribly noticeable, but still there nonetheless.

The options for wearing these are almost endless. They don't provide much warmth on their own, but are better than bare skin on a chilly day. That being said, they're not bad for layering with other things as an extra layer of protection against the cold that won't overheat you when you go inside. This works out well because you can wear them in warmer weather without overheating. They'll pair well with flats or heels, pants or skirts or dresses, even shorts. Anything you'd want to add a pair of knee highs to, you can wear these with. They also come in white, red, and pink if you want to change up the colors you use.

The overall quality isn't too bad either. There were no loose threads or fraying ends of anything, and aside from being careful to avoid snagging them they seem in tip top shape. They'll resist a fair amount of snags, but you should try to be careful anyway.

I've got some pictures for you here. The first is what the toe looks like, and the rest are ways you can pair them with footwear. I've got a few pairs of flats, and a few pairs of heels to give you an idea of solids vs patterns. Ok, maybe a few more than a few, but I have a lot of patterned heels.

Experience
I'm really happy with these. For the price, you really can't beat what you get. I'm happy with them and can wear them for hours at a time, and I have plans to at some point add the rest of the colors to my collection. We'll see how that goes, but I'd love to have them all.

If you'll fit in them, I do recommend owning them.
