Candy striper babydoll - costume discontinued by Coquette - review by Lizabeth

After perusing the website for a nice role playing outfit that was not too expensive, I selected the Candy Striper Babydoll by Coquette. My partner and I are into dressing up as a form of foreplay, and I just knew that this babydoll would get his engines revving. However, this product failed to live up to my expectations, and I will give as much as a thorough review of the product as possible in hopes of helping you to select or change your mind about purchasing this product.

~Packaging~
The babydoll comes in a box-like container, which can wrinkle the headpiece a little bit. Overall, the packaging is nice, and displays the pictures that are on the website. The container is very easy to open, and I had no problem getting the babydoll or headpiece out.

~Material~
The babydoll is made out of nylon and spandex, which gives it a bit of stretch without overdoing it. This means that you need to hand wash the babydoll and let it air dry. These materials also make the babydoll very light, as if you are wearing nothing at all. The apron is made of silk with a lace all around it, giving it a very feminine appearance. The front has a corset appearance, but is only there for an accent, not to cinch your waist. The skirt of the babydoll and the top are very mesh-like. This gives a very nice look to it, allowing you to show your partner as much of yourself as you feel like! I wore it without a bra, which made my nipples show clearly through the fabric. The mesh, however, has a downside, and if you are rough with the fabric, it will rip. This means if your partner or you are too rough with it, it may not last very long.

~Sizing~
This babydoll only comes in "One Size Fits Most" on this website. This can be problematic, as with all costumes because not every fits the mold of "One Size". I had an extremely hard time getting the babydoll on, due to not being able to get it over my shoulders. I'm a curvy girl, and I imagine many customers of this website are as well. I wear a large in shirts, so I assumed it would be a cinch to get this babydoll on. Wrong! However, once I managed to squeeze myself into the babydoll, it fit nicely. My suggestion is that if they want to market this as a "One Size" product, the makers should think about making the waistline and top more elastic like to accommodate different body shapes or make a One Plus Size.

~Uses~
This Candy Striper Babydoll can be used as a tool for foreplay, a role-playing costume, or anything a person could possibly think of. I personally use it for a foreplay enhancer with a little role-playing mixed in.

~Price of the Product~
Considering that the product has a minor tear in it after just one use, I believe the price of the product is not fitting of the material. Considering the outfit only consists of a babydoll and headpiece, I personally feel is should include a matching panty/thong/g-string to complete the look.

Overall, I do enjoy the Candy Striper Babydoll. It is very pretty and gives the wearer a very feminine feel. If the manufacturer would make it more elastic and include a bottom to it, I would definitely encourage people to buy this item! However, from my current experience, I am going to have to advise customers to save their money for a more expensive nurse costume or buy another outfit.
