For the most part, I really love this set! The babydoll itself is fairly comfortable to wear, seems to be pretty well made, and looks good on.

There are some minor downsides to this set. For one, the lace on the bodice is a little scratchy against your arms but nothing you can’t get used to. The top part is padded for structure which is nice, but I kind of wish it had some underwire as well. I’d prefer not to wear a bra with this, but I think it might be necessary with the lack of underwire support.

The last little negative to this is the g-string panty that comes with it. It seems like an afterthought. It’s just a cheaply made little panty that tears fairly easily. I wish they had put a bit more thought into the panty and maybe tied it into the top with a little lace or a rhinestone detail. For the price of the whole ensemble, I would think a better panty wouldn’t be too much to ask. I just wear it with a pair of my own lace or mesh panties.

All that said, there are some definite high points to this set. The babydoll top itself is really cute on, and the padding in the cups really does help keep the girls where they belong. The set also comes with removable straps. I prefer to wear the straps because they help hold things up where they belong. If you have smaller breasts (I’m a D cup), you might have an easier time wearing it strapless.

The whole thing is mostly nylon with a small percentage of spandex. According to the tag, it should be hand washed and hung to dry.

Aside from the slightly scratchy lace, the rest of the top is very comfy and soft. The double layer mesh skirt is nice because it’s sexy on its own with just panties, stockings, nothing, whatever you prefer underneath, but the double layer makes it just opaque enough that you could get away with wearing the top out over a pair of leggings or pants.

There are two large rhinestone details on the waistband that add just a little bit of sparkle. I could personally take or leave these but they’re a cute touch. I’d like the rhinestones more if there was a rhinestone detail on the g-string as well.

The stretchy fit is nice and allows for some room to grow as well as some leeway if you were to lose some weight. I have a very short torso and would like it if the empire waistband just under the bust was a little bit narrower, but that’s just me and my torso. I am 4’11” so every part of me is short. In general I'm pretty happy with the fit. It's always hard to order clothing items online, so if you're plus sized it's comforting to know that Coquette seems to accurately size their clothing.

I actually ended up using this for my Halloween costume! I was Red Riding Hood, so I paired it with a lace-up bodice to give it the fairytale feel and threw on a red riding hood. I wore a fishnet body stocking underneath and it was perfect! The only word of caution is that it's a little short to be worn on its own. I got away with it, probably because I have an extremely short torso---but I wouldn't risk it again with something crotchless underneath!

It's very comfortable to wear for several hours and looks fantastic on! It's just opaque enough that you can get away with wearing it over just about anything but in bright light people will be able to see what you've got going on underneath.

I did end up snipping off the rhinestones because I found them kind of awkward and out of place. But this has become one of my favorite things to throw on for everything from the bedroom to a night out clubbing! I highly recommend it to just about everyone as it's flattering on many body types and super easy to wear and care for!
