Open back dress - mini dress discontinued by Espiral - review by Beck

Espiral Lingerie presents hot pink open back dress. While I would love to say this can function as a club dress, I can not. If you want to wear this as a dress I would not recommend leaving the house in it. It could be worn as a cute top with jeans but watch out, your ladies will try to escape. You could wear a long sleeve top underneath this dress, that way it could be more functional.

The Open Back Dress is available in hot pink and black. I fell in love with the hot pink one. It is made of 93% Polyester and 7% Elastan/Spandex. It feels a lot like bathing suit material but not as silky. It has more of a cloth feel on the skin but is semi silky. The material likes to ride up but stretches easily.

The top of the dress has tank top style straps, which have a seam at your collar bone. The front has no collar, instead the front drops down exposing to about the waist point. The way this is designed causes the straps to fall down and your ladies to try to escape. There is no breast support, but if a bra is worn it will be exposed. (Bra Suggestion) The back of the dress is an open back that exposes to the waist point, from the top of the back to the bottom of the dress measures 15”. (My ass hangs out about 2”, making this dress really short.) Attached to the open back area is a double gold colored link chain with silky material wrapped through it. The chain can be removed by using the lobster claw clamp. (My chain fell off within 10 minutes of wearing this dress.) The lobster claw is clamped to a single link that can be removed with no after effects. The dress has elastic bands on both sides and from the belly button down. This makes the dress very form fitting and it will not hide any flaws.

Espiral’s Size Chart
The dress is available in sizes S-XL. I went with an XL; there is plenty of room in this dress for someone who measures larger than I do. (40” bust, 35” waist, and 40” hips and I got the bottom of the dress to stretch up to 50”.) I could have gone with the large. I recommend going a size smaller. The way the top of the dress is designed needs more of a stocky build to stay into place. I wear a 40DDD and my breast were too small to fill the XL top. Even the arm holes are too large for my arm, which my arm is 14” around at the top. I usually wear a dress size 11/12, XL, and jeans size 13.

The tag is located at waist level inside the dress on the right. It has the symbol for hand washing only. The package says “Wash separately, Drip Dry, Do Not Bleach.” I would only hand wash this dress and would hang dry it. I recommend leaving this dress on a hanger in your closet.

The dress is packaged in a clear plastic envelope bag with a card board insert. There is models pictured wearing many of Espiral’s dresses. This is not at all discreet and should be wrapped if gifting.

I currently own three of Espiral’s club wear dresses. I have Open Cross back Black, Black Billow top Dress, and Open back hot pink. Out of all of these this hot pink one is my least favorite. The style and fitting make it my least favorite at the current moment.

I have given this to my mother. I was hoping that she would be able to fit the awkward style top, since she is a size 22, but she could not. It is the design of this top that is the issue. The cowl neckline is just to cowl, which makes it awkward and hard to wear for anyone. It is unfortunate.
