Perfect for Hourglass Shaped Legs?

Adding fence net to an outfit will surely make it even sexier, but just don't get these unless you have no other choice or you are really tall! The sizing is kind of strange and it is hard to say if these will fit you, so you might be taking a gamble. i can wear them but I need garters.

extremely useful review
I have been pretty lucky with stocking and have never had a pair that I couldn't wear at all...until now. I swear you would need the weirdest shaped legs to fit these perfectly. For the price, almost double other sets, I didn't expect any problems. I was wrong.

*Contents/overview:

These stockings by Leg Avenue are fence net. These do have a unique feature for fence netting-they have a closed toe although not very well reinforced. They also have a gorgeous lace top that does not require garters.

NOTE: If you do not have firm thighs, you will want to stay away from these, if they are too tight, the pudge (for lack of a better word) will bulge through the net.

*Material:

The color of the light pink is slightly darker than in the picture (it might just be the ghostly complexion of the mannequin). These do also come in black, white, red, and hot pink. They are made of 95% Nylon and 5% Spandex. The netting does feel pretty strong but does not stretch as much as some might like. After wearing, they do go back to shape for the most part.

*Design/craftsmanship:

These again, are fencenet. For those that do not know, fence net is larger spaced netting than fishnet and industrial netting, but not quite as open as diamond netting. The toe has a very small closed portion. It doesn't really function as reinforced toeing however. It is too thin and small for that. The lace band feels very nice and has a lot of stretch, perhaps too much for some. They don't provide much in terms of control topping. Although there are no pre-cut holes for garters, you could still use this with them if you want. Just be careful not to puncture them.

*Cleaning/care/storage:

Just hand wash these with cold water and then drip dry. Never use bleach or an iron. The material will literally melt onto the iron. How do I know this? I did it when I was younger...sorry mom! To store, you can fold them in on themselves like socks, but because of the holes, it might be better to just throw them in a zip lock bag to prevent snagging.
Experience
*Sizing:

While unrolling these up my legs, I was thinking "Damn, this looks pretty hot!". That ended about a quarter ways up my thigh. It was obvious to me that the lace was going to fit, but the section between where I was forced to stop and where I wanted the lace to lie, was way too tight. So I thought that maybe I just pulled them up too far. So I tried again. This time I was able to pull the extra down a bit so that it did not bunch but the lace laid lower than where it should have on my thigh. This caused them to fall down. I wanted to be able to use these without garters, but I have to in order to keep them up.

The package says one-size 90-160 lbs. But there is no way that the lace would stay up on someone who is 90 pounds. I'd say these would be best for the middle ground of about 130-145. My thighs are ~23" and the lace was fine there, but right below that wasn't. I am 5'6" and my legs are about 31-32" long. These do stretch very far. They are probably best for women taller than me. That would make more sense for the way they fit.

Conclusion:

I'm giving these 3 stars. The sizing is weird and is probably better for taller women with long legs. The toe is half-assed reinforced and annoying to wear. These also don't stay up even on my shapely thighs and have to be used with garters. They probably would stay up on women with larger thighs, but then the rest won't fit. You are taking a gamble by getting these.
Follow-up commentary
I thought that maybe it was just me and my body shape for the reason that these didn't work very well, but I have tried two other similar designs and have not had as bad of a fit. I wear these folded or rolled down. They look really hot if you wear another pair on top of them as a contrast color like black. So I have found a use for them although not the one I wanted them for.

They have not ripped and seem durable enough to last a while.

The height would work for me but I certainly don't want the fence net making my thighs look fat! Definitely not sexy. Great review!

Poorly fitting thigh highs are the worst! Especially when they make your thighs bulge when they normally wouldn't! Oh well, great review anyway!

Thanks for the warning on the size, I was looking at them thinking how hot they were and how much I wanted a pair. I'm 5' 2", definitely not trying these!

I had a pair of these that ended up making all my fat poke through. :o

Yea that happens too...no matter how thin you are, skin still moves through if they are too small.
