Details:
The Bedroom Bordello Babydoll has spaghetti straps which have a sheer, net, 1" tall, ruffle sewn onto the top. The ruffle is a very simple accent that adds a bit of feminine appeal without being too frilly. The bust area is bra shaped with an underwire. The material is fairly stretchy, which allows more versatility for fitting different bust sizes. There is a bit of a sheer ruffle under the bra band and the band has a thin, black elastic band that goes all the way around to ensure a better fit. There is a thin elastic trim that goes around the top of the bra part as well.

The bottom area of the Bordello Babydoll is sheer, black mesh. The front is open and is trimmed on each side with a 2" ruffle. This does not stay closed--since it was not designed to--and will float around you while you move. If you are self conscious about your stomach area, you may either want to rethink this lingerie or get creative and hide the area with a complimentary piece of other clothing. I wear one of the mesh garter belts from another set, a black mini or pair of crotchless underwear with mine. The g-string is not an item I am comfortable wearing.

Material:
Made of 92% Polyester and 8% Spandex, the material is easy to care for and very comfortable. There is a lot of give to the material and it will stretch to accommodate varying sizes and shapes. The material is thicker than most lingerie items, but has a pretty satiny finish. The burgundy base color has a printed overlay of black floral lace. This material is reasonably opaque as long as it is not stretched too thin.

The mesh netting of the bottom area is very thin and delicate feeling--but is also very soft and comfortable. Neither material is scratchy or itchy and they are both very flattering and compliment each other very well.

The burgundy material is heavier and more sturdy than the mesh, but if it is near a flame or extreme heat, it will melt inwards and can cause severe burns. Take care when wearing this around candles or other open flames. The netting does snag easily on fingernails and common household shapes. It has lost a couple fights already with my dishwasher, but luckily they were very minute and easy to fix with clear nail polish.

Fit:
I ordered a large, but should have ordered a medium for a better fit. This is a bit loose on me in the bust area, which is not an issue! I love the comfort, the length and the roomy, airy feeling of this babydoll. The net bottom has a decent length, it hits about mid butt, and is very light and flowing. This is wonderful for wearing around the house for your partner or leaving on during sex.

I do wish there was a bit more adjustment for the bust area, but if you remember this is sized a bit large--you should get the correct size for your body. I do recommend going a full size down.

Care & Storage:
Hand wash in warm water with a mild detergent and rinse well. Never wring out the material, it will damage the underwires and pull on the material, leaving it stretched out and wrinkled looking. This material is hard to wrinkle--so just press the water out of the material with your hands before line drying.

Do not use bleach, harsh detergents and do not dry this in a dryer. The heat will ruin the material and may melt the mesh. The tag does say you can machine wash on gentle cycle and tumble dry on low. I have had my Bordello lingerie pieces for over a year and they are in like new shape--the lace printing has not even faded one little bit!

Quality:
The seams are well sewn, even and finished. The material is of good quality and is more durable than many other materials used for lingerie. The sheen and detailing really adds a lot to the quality and appearance. This is one set that is definitely worth purchasing and should last a long time with the proper care.

I have to admit, this one has lasted and is till going!! I do have a couple small repairs from early on--before I realized how fragile the mesh was--but they are easily repaired and this outfit is still going strong!

I love the comfort, the versatility with accessories and the easy, flowing access in the front. I do have tummy issues so I pair it with complimentary items to hide my pooch.

After many washings and wearings, the burgundy material has not faded or stretched. Remember how careful I am with the lingerie care, though, and if you can follow the instructions--this will last a long time for you as well.
