Plaid chemise and thong - chemise and panty set by DreamGirl - review by badk1tty

This was the first time I purchased a DreamGirl item, and I actually went ahead and got two in the same order. Let me tell you, I am not disappointed. If this is the norm for DreamGirl items, I am impressed. This chemise is made out of 90% polyester and 10% spandex, without having the itchy, rough qualities one usually associates with a polyester blend. It's see-through enough to be sexy, without being so revealing that it's slutty. The plaid pattern also helps to hide any flaws or problem areas, without covering up all of the goods.




The straps are adjustable, and made of a nice stretchy material, while still allowing for the support you want to find in a piece of quality lingerie to give you that sexy cleavage. That being said, if you're tall (and I am - 6', to be exact), you may need to let out the straps a bit if you want the length, but in doing so, you sacrifice in the cleave area a bit. This set does not disappoint in the bust department. Thin (but not uncomfortable) under-wire helps give you the lift you're looking for, if you have larger breasts, and an adjustable strap in back helps find a better fit if you aren't exactly the same size as the cups are.




My biggest complaint about this, is the buckles in the center are cheaply made. They're a mix of what feels like cotton and vinyl or something. They're a faux-leather, and are shiny, with flimsy metal clasps. If these could be adjusted without fear of breaking them, I would have no problems at all with this set. Sadly, I worry that if I were to tighten them to help accentuate my cleavage a bit more, that they would fly right off.



I ordered my set in a 3x/4x, because I'm plus-size, with large breasts, and very tall (18/20 pant, 6' tall, and 44DDD). I found the chemise to be nicely fitting, and would have stretched quite a bit if I had needed it to, from the way I tugged at the fabric to test it. I did, however, find the cup sizes to run a bit smaller than the chart said, and I overflowed a good bit.



The bottom of the chemise has a plaid/black/plaid pattern of ruffles that adds a bit of sass to the general outfit, and also gives the entire outfit some shape. The dress itself, on the model, comes down a few inches past the butt. On me, however, it cuts off a short bit below my navel, leaving just about everything exposed. I can loosen the straps and cover more, but then I lose the cleavage, and it starts to look awkward. I blame this on the fact that I'm 6', and I am, by no means, an “average” size female. I would guess that if you were of average height, it would probably fit closer to the proportions that the models show. That being said, I don't believe the models in the photo are plus size by any means, so it's sort of dependent on how your own body is. If you're a long-body like I am, it's going to run short. If you have a shorter trunk, or are just generally smaller in height, it will likely fit you differently.



That all being said, I didn't find much a problem with the chemise being short on me, because the thong is adorable. Most of the baby-doll/chemise sets that I've seen come with g-strings (and flimsy ones, at that). This one comes with an actual thong, and it fits perfect to size. It's actually comfortable enough that I will likely end up wearing this as panties more than I wear the chemise for lingerie. It does have the cotton safety strip on the inside so that it doesn't rub uncomfortably against the labia. I did find the back part of the thong to be a little thicker than I would have liked, and it sat awkwardly on my butt, though it wasn't uncomfortable. It just tended to shift a bit from the extra bunch of fabric.




The claps aside, this chemise set is absolutely adorable, and the flaws in it are so minor that I cannot help but recommend this to anyone. As long as you check the size charts, and keep in mind that the cups (at least for the 3x/4x) run a bit small, you should be good to go. This outfit is sexy, without being slutty; chic, without being boring, and still manages to keep that punk-rock school-girl flirt to it.

This thing still makes me feel like the sexiest bitch on the block, and I can't get enough of it. I've been losing some weight and even after being down nearly two pant sizes, it still fits my body wonderfully. Absolutely amazing product, with no complaints.
