Long black gown - maxi dress discontinued by Espiral - review by LynnAnn54

Are you looking for an elegant gown to wear for a special evening out? Are you looking for something that looks classy, and is a classic look? Well, this dress isn't exactly that. The Long Black Gown by Espiral, is pretty, but would only look good on a model with huge breast implants! The sizing of the dress that I ordered was an XL, and it fit more like a small or medium. If you're looking for something to wear to a club, or something for the bedroom, then this is a good dress for that.

The dress came packaged in a clear plastic sealed bag, that has a cardboard insert of models wearing the dress in both red and black. There is a small plastic hanger on the packaging, which looks like it was meant for hanging on a store wall. Removing the dress from the package, it was nicely folded, and the fabric feels nice against your skin. Unfolding the dress, I was wondering where the second half of it was! Holding the dress up, it doesn't look wide enough for any woman to be able to wear it. I actually was confused if it was for a child, but knew it wasn't since it was so long, and had major cleavage in the breast region.

This is a halter style dress, that ties at the back of your neck. You have an option to purchase the dress in either red or black, I received the black. The inside tag on the dress states that the fabric breakdown is 97% nylon, and 3% spandex. On the actual packaging of the product, it states that the fabric breakdown is 93% polyester, and 7% elastan... hmmm very interesting! Which one is it? I dunno. And the word elastan isn't even in the english dictionary, so maybe it stands for spandex.

The halter is able to tie behind your neck, so you're able to make any adjustment that's needed. The bust portion are in the shape of triangle cups, with no padding or lining built in. Below the bust the dress gathers quite a bit, which on myself actually looked weird. I kept tugging on it, not sure how it was supposed to look and fall. The bunched portion measures 2" wide. On the straps there is a little silver sparkly buckle looking decoration, which is on both sides. It measures 1/2" in width, and about 1" in height.

The length of the dress is 46" long, so if you're petite, it probably wouldn't look right on you. This dress would look best on someone who is average or tall, and is built like a model. I did get the dress on, but it looked too tight on me. With the sheen of the material, you could see every flaw on my body. It did however, feel wonderful against my skin, and my boyfriend said I looked hot. Maybe I'm just over critical of my body, but it did look like his eyes popped out of his head! I will keep this dress and just wear it in the bedroom, or for a romantic night in. Overall, it's a well made product, I just wish it was more true to the size it should be.
