Are you someone who's looking for a good quality piece of lingerie, that comes available in different colors? Maybe you're someone who likes wearing thigh-highs along with garters? Well, the Gartered Chemise by Dreamgirl might be what you're looking for. This is a chemise type of lingerie, which have garters built in, and is available in four color choices. No need for an added garter belt with this design, as the garters are already built in. No need for purchasing thigh-highs for this set, as it comes with that as well.



This little number is good for all occasions: Valentine's Day, Christmas, date night, or daily wear. It's super comfortable, just keep in mind that if you actually have breasts (boobs bigger then a B cup), this chemise most likely isn't for you.

Material / Texture / Design / Shape / Size

There are three tags on the chemise, which are located on the back bra portion of the garment. The first tag is the Dreamgirl tag, second is a small little white tag with the size, and the last is the white tag with the washing instructions, as well as the fabric breakdown. The chemise is 90% polyester, and 10% spandex.





This chemise design presently comes in four colors: plum, black/pink, fuchsia, and red, and the sizing as: S, M, L, 1X/2X, and 3X/4X. The color that I selected was the plum, but I previously owned the fuchsia. With that said, the main color of this lingerie is a plum purple, and is size large. Starting from the top of the chemise, it features a padded under-wire bra that's built in. With the bra being padded and having an under-wire, you would assume that it has added support. However, the bust portion of this chemise doesn't contain much support, so it is best suited for smaller breasts. They're normal rounded shaped bra cups, that have the straps sewn on the sides. The bra straps are black in color, adjustable, and feature a little black bow where they're attached to the cup. Each bow is nicely wrapped with white tissue paper, to help protect the shape while it's in it's packaging. The bra straps measure 1/4" in width, and the little black bows measure 1" wide, by 1" in height. Directly in the center of the bra portion, between the cups, is another black satin-like bow, measuring the same sizing as the other bows.



The front of the chemise is a solid purple, which is a satin-like fabric. The solid portion runs vertically down the front, and the width of that portion is 10.5" across. The solid fabric is surrounded on both sides with a purple mesh-like fabric, that runs all the way around to the back. The mesh is soft, high quality, and see-through in nature. With that said, you will most likely want to remove the white tags prior to wearing it.



The back of the bra portion, has a hook and eye closure, just like a regular bra. There is two rows of hooks, so you're able to make the adjustment that fits you best. Below the hook and eye closure, there is a cute little round window, where you can peak and get a glimpse of your back. The round shaped window measures 4" across, and 4" down. At the bottom in the center of the window, it features a black satin-like bow. The bow is bigger then the rest that are on this chemise, and measures roughly 3.5" across, and 4" long.



Measuring from the top of the chemise, down to the bottom, it's 29.5", which includes the bottom ruffle design. The ruffle design measures 3" long, and ruffles with the sheer mesh fabric. The bottom of the chemise also includes garter straps, which unfortunately, are sewn on. Where each strap is sewn to the chemise, there's a small black bow for decoration. If you don't want to wear the thigh-high tights with this, then you either have to just let the garters hang, or cut them off. The garters are fully adjustable, and are black just like the bra straps.





When it comes to the g-string thong that is included, it's made of the same purple mesh, as the sides and back of the chemise. The thong measures 29" around, but can easily be stretched an extra few inches. The crotch portion is nicely lined, for extra protection.

Care and Maintenance

With this lingerie you will want to pay extra attention, when it comes to the washing of the garments. It's best to hand wash everything in cool water, with a mild detergent. To help keep it's shape and last longer, let this drip and air dry.

Packaging



Everything came wrapped in pink tissue paper. The chemise had the original cardboard Dreamgirl product tag attached to the lingerie. The product tag had photos of a model wearing the lingerie, only the front view. On the back of the label it had the style, color, and sizing information, as well as the Dreamgirl website: "www.Dreamgirldirect.com". The set also included a package of black thigh-highs, which were nicely folded and wrapped in a clear plastic bag that was sealed. The bag that contained the thigh-highs, was attached in the same spot, as the original cardboard tag.



Experience

I originally had the same chemise in the fuchsia color, which was a 1X/2X. I found that size was way too big. For this chemise, I ended up getting the size large, which ended up being too snug. I wish there was an XL, as the difference between the two sizes was a HUGE difference. The color of the chemise was gorgeous... I loved the plum, if only it fit me properly. The main issue I had, was that my boobs were too big for it. My boobs are a 36D, which was too much for this chemise. If you have boobs bigger then a B, I would stay clear of this design, as your boobs will fall below the actual bra. The under-wire didn't push up my boobs to let them pop with cleavage, my boobs just fell below it looking funny!

This chemise still doesn't fit me right, and I'm quite sad about it. I LOVE the color, but my boobs don't fit it properly. This will make a nice gift to one of my friends.
