Spotting the Escante Peek-a-Boo Shorty Set for the first time on edenfantasys, I was drawn to its beautiful shade of purple and delicate white trim. I was looking for something new to add to collection, something that would not just work as lingerie but that would be comfortable enough to sleep in afterwards.

The Peek-a-Boo Shorty Set arrives on a black plastic hanger protected by a white sheet of plastic similar to a plastic bag. The cami top rests securely on the wide hanger while the bottoms are attached to it by plastic ties. Attached to the cami top is a tag which shows the set being modelled, and also shows the equally beautiful chemise set from the range being modelled.

-First Impression

Seeing the Peek-a-Boo Shorty Set in person, I was impressed by its vibrant shade of purple which is actually pretty true to the images used on the product page. Having had experience with differing colours in the past I was particularly pleased to see that this is just as shown, especially as it was the colour of this set that I was so drawn to.

Once off its hanger I ran the material of the cami through my hands hoping to find it soft and comfortable enough to sleep in. The mesh material, stretchy plain white trim and lace trim of the set are all very soft to the touch, with the purple mesh being particularly soft, light and stretchy. Examining the lining and seams of the set, I looked for things like loose threads or off centre seams and found the set to be of a much higher quality than I’ve experienced with other lingerie brands.




-In Wear/ Sizing

-Cami Top-

In wear, the Cami tops white Lace spaghetti straps sit comfortably on the shoulders, they have a surprising amount of stretch to them while still feeling secure and are adjustable at the back, allowing you to adjust them by up to seven inches before the Lace overlay of the strap then begins blocking any more adjustment. I’m a size 34D in the bust and opted for the size small, I find the set sits best when the straps are adjusted to their very loosest; otherwise I find the seam under the cups of the top run across my bust rather than under it.

The Lace overlay that begins at the shoulders of the Camis straps runs along the sides of the cups until it meets your back, while the front of the cups have just the plain white trimming which also runs along the split centre of each cup, halfway down each of the split cups the splits are joined together by a small white satin bow which is well stitched into place.

In my wear of the Cami I find my nipples tend to naturally sit under the splitss bows but they can also be easily positioned over the nipple to be revealed later on. My first time wearing the cami I ran into a problem I hadn’t expected, having a pierced nipple with a sizeable ring hanging from it, it’s important for me to make sure that my nipple is well exposed and that it doesn’t get caught up in the trimming, once well positioned away from the trimming, the cups do stay in place even with alot of movement, though I would recommend sleeping in it if you have a nipple piercing that is still in its healing period.

Under the bust, the Cami top becomes loose and flouts out from the body in a flattering cut which I can imagine suiting both bigger and more petite women alike. The back of the Cami is split with only a strap at bust height attaching it but with the excess of material it has it still doesn’t reveal any skin or even appear split at first glance. Near the bottom of the Cami is a band of the same white Lace used in the shoulder straps.

At 5”4 Inches tall myself and a 34D in the bust, the end of the Cami reaches the top my hips so is not quite as short as a belly top on me but might be if you are quite a bit taller than me. With it being just that bit shorter than other Cami tops it does fully show off the sets panties quite well.

-Peek-a-boo panties-

Made of the same soft purple mesh material and stretchy white trimming as the Cami, the white trim runs around the waist and legs of the Peek-a-boo panties aswell as the split along the back of them. At the top of the split is a white satin bow identical to the ones on the splits of the Cami and equally well stitched into place.

At the front of the panties is a small triangular ‘peep-hole’ which exposes just a hint skin (or pubic hair if like me you have some to show) The panel sits in the right place to nicely expose a landing strip and is accommodating enough to allow you or your lover to place either one or a few fingers inside the panties. Not only are they great panties for being worn and appreciated during foreplay but the exposed panel practically begs the spectator to explore. Being Peek-a-boo panties rather than crotchless they encourage clitoral stimulation and finger play while worn and the stretchy material allows for alot of fun to be had with them on.

In terms of sizing, I’m a UK size 6 to 8 on bottom and found the size small fit me nicely but with the amount of stretch allowed by the material I can easily imagine someone a three or four sizes larger fitting into these comfortably. The cut of the panties means they naturally sit low on the hip but the sides can be pulled higher on the hips giving them more of a thong like appearance, the material stays well in place however you choose to wear them.


-Material Care

The Escante Peek-a-Boo Shorty Set is made of 91 % Nylon and 9% Elastane. It is safe for machine washing on a warm gentle cycle and it recommended that it should be washed separately. Use only non-chlorine bleach if needed and don’t wring or twist the set to dry. The set is suitable for line drying and can even be ironed on a low temperature according to the labels. All labels on the set are easily removed, the thin paper-like material information labels are easily torn away by hand and the main Escante label which is quite itchy if left on can be fully cut away using scissors and doesn't affect any of the necessary stitching of the top.
