Studded mini dress - mini dress discontinued by Forplay Lingerie - review by Penguin

Around Christmas my girlfriend said that it'd be romantic if I bought her a dress that I wanted to see her wear. The catch was that she wanted me to pick it out by myself with no influence from her. I figured I might as well do a "trial run" and get something off of Eden as an assignment. If my pick goes well then I'd have more confidence to spend money at one of her favorite stores. No guy likes their gifts returned right? I wanted to find a dress in red because even though she has a lot, none are red. This is partly due to me not being a huge fan of red, but I still wanted to get something a lot different than what she has.

This dress looked comfortable, tight, and boob busting. And it's in red. Perfect, but the sizing was a hard thing for me since I didn't have another dress from this brand to compare it to. According to the sizing chart, she is in both the medium and larges. This dress comes in sizes xs-xl which is better than the normal s, m, and l on a lot of pieces. I decided to get the large because her boobs didn't fit in the medium chart and that part of the dress didn't look stretchy. Seeing her face when she pulled it out of the pink tissue paper was great. I admit, it looks really small, but it didn't stop her from striping down and putting it on right away. It fits like a glove in the torso perfectly and is a good length, short but not too short. It also hugs under the butt so there is less of a chance an accidental flash could happen.

The bust is supposed to fit a C-D, but it is small for her Ds. She prefers to wear a bra so she is properly supported instead of squished or cut into. The straps are black (and removable by the way) so she can wear a black bra without it being noticeable. There isn't any underwire, but there is padding in the cups. The cups are very small. It's weird because the bust area has that twisted part, but the padding only takes up half of that. If it was the same size, she and other women who are Ds wouldn't have the issue she is having now. But, with a bra she feels very comfortable.

The material is interesting. It's made of 92% polyester and 8% spandex. It's thin and very stretchy. It has hundreds of metal studs all over it. When it is stretched over her skin, the studs feel really cool. She can't feel them on the inside of the fabric. The only place where they are on the inside is the bust area. If you don't wear a bra, it's possible it could become uncomfortable.

For wearing this out, she wore a black top over it. Because the straps are black it makes it look like a bra which she found tacky.




I really like how it looks and that the material is thin. She likes that she can still wear a lace thong and black bra under and it can't be seen. She has a love hate relationship with the black straps. It hides a black bra, but it looks strange with the red. She's not upset that she can't wear it as a strapless dress but other women might be disappointed by that. She doesn't think it would stay up even if you had Bs or Cs which she thinks it will fit best.

Hand wash in cold water or dry clean only. This is made in Hollywood which I think is cool. It's made by Foreplay. If you have any questions about specific measurements or anything, just ask!

My girlfriend still likes this dress, but she has found other designs from the same company that she likes even better.
