Mesh bra and g-string - bra and panty set by Leg Avenue - review by sktb0007

When I seen the Mesh Bra and G-String by Leg Avenue, I knew I wanted it. I loved the colour combination (red and black), and the feminine look of the ruffles and bows… and then I seen it was only available in one-size-fits-most. I usually wear a size XL in lingerie, and usually a large in underwear. I had seen that the price was only $15.99, so I figured it was worth a shot.

The bra and g-string arrived in a medium sized, thin cardboard package. The front of the packaging has a photo of a model wearing the outfit. The front also states the brand, size, and product name. The back of the package has the same information as the front, along with the material composition of the outfit, and the care instructions. Below is a photo of the front of the packaging.



Inside of the cardboard packaging, the bra and g-string are in a plastic bag. Both the cardboard packaging and the plastic bag are not necessary to keep. Both of them are not the best choices for storing the lingerie.

I’ve taken measurements of the bra and g-string lying flat, unstretched. The bra was also done up on the last hook (loosest fit). If you need additional measurements, please send me a message and I can get those for you.

The outfit is made of 95% nylon and 5% spandex. Both the bra and the g-string are very stretchy because the trim is elastic band. When I had first seen the g-string, I thought to myself, “Oh no, so tiny”! Luckily though, I was able to stretch it enough to fit my hips. One thing to note is that because the ruffle trim is attached to the elastic, the more you need to stretch the elastic band to make it fit, the less “ruffly” the ruffles look.

The bra does up in the back with 2 hook and eye closures. There are three rows of eyes that the hooks can be attached to. There is a ½ inch space in between the rows of eyes. Below you can see this in the photo. I wear a bra size of C38, and the bra fit me fine. My chest was slightly hanging out of the cups, but it still looked good. The larger your chest is, the harder it will be to fit your chest into the bra (see measurements above). The bra does not have any underwire either, so there is not support for your chest. The lack of support was not a huge deal to me, but this may be bothersome to others.



There is ruffle trim on both the bra and g-string. There are three bow accents on the bra; one in the middle between the “cups”, and one on the top of each “cup”. There is one bow accent on the g-string and it is in the very front of the g-string, in the very centre. The trim and bows on both pieces are roughly the same size (see measurements above).

Surprisingly, the mesh material was not bothersome to my skin at all. Also, the lace trim was not itchy like some lace can be on lingerie pieces. The thong and g-string were extremely comfortable; I would be able to wear this piece all night without any worries.

The packaging states that the outfit should be hand washed separately in cold water and drip-dried. Only non-chlorine bleaches should be used if necessary, and the outfit should never be ironed. All of this information is on the care tag, so it’s not necessary that you keep the packaging.

Overall, I’m extremely satisfied with my purchase. The price is phenomenal, and it’s just gorgeous! The bows and ruffles are so feminine and pretty. My partner said that it is one of his favourites on me. He likes that he it is so revealing, but it still has a cuteness to it. I’ve decided to give the outfit a 5 out of 5, though it’s sad that the outfit is not available in larger sizes.
