Ruffle lace babydoll with thong - babydoll and panties set by Coquette - review by LinToxic

This pretty little lingerie set from Coquette is currently, only the second set of lingerie that I own. I'm a bigger girl, so I actually have a hard time finding things that fit me. The local shops in my area do not seem to believe in plus sizes and only seem to stock smaller sizes that would never fit me. Finding sexy things for me to wear is quite a chore and very frustrating!

However, when I saw this cute baby doll set in the review list for the EF review program, I decided to get it. I had nothing to lose after all. I got it in the size 1x/2x, which is currently the biggest size available. Funnily enough, when the baby doll arrived and I tried it on, I found that it was a tad too big for me! The shoulder straps were almost at the armpits, and there is a bit of extra space at each side. I think next time I get something from Coquette, I should get a size smaller. However, it is nice that there's a company that takes their plus sizes seriously!

I got mine in pink and black, and I love that there is so much detail on it. The pink parts are made of a semi-shiny material covered with black floral patterned lace, and the edges and straps of the baby doll, including the thong, is lined with cute little black ruffles. There are tiny pink ribbons accenting the thong and the top.

I like the black see-through material that drapes along the sides of the top. It is a bit stretchy and actually looks quite slimming on me. The back part of the thong is made of the same material, which is okay. However, because it is so see-through, you can see the little white tag on it, which isn't very aesthetically pleasing.

As for the bra part, it is padded with something like thin foam. My nipples do not show through it even if they are perky, but it sadly does not provide a lot of support for my breasts. The shoulder straps are also quite long, and even if I adjust them to their tightest, they still slide off my shoulders because they are too loose. Again, I think I just need the smaller sized version of this.

One major problem with this set however, is that it kinda frays quite easily. I don't know what kind of stitches they use on it, but I already had to patch up some parts that were falling off after the first wash. You should only hand wash this item because it is very delicate!

Coquette did a good job with this lingerie set. I like how the black draped parts on the side slims me down, and I feel really sexy wearing it. The thong is also wide enough to cover my pubic mound, and I don't think any hair would be visible while wearing it even if I didn't shave for that day.

I am glad that there is a lingerie set that is actually too big for me. It is definitely a first! I also like that the material is soft and comfy, and I like sleeping with it. My only problem with this baby doll set is that it is so flimsy! It definitely needs better stitching. You better go over all of the stitches with a sewing machine to reinforce it!

All in all however, the ruffle lace babydoll from Coquette is awesome!

I definitely enjoy wearing this little Ruffle lace babydoll and my partner likes seeing it on me as well. I still wish it had a bit more support and straps that are more adjustable though.

It is starting to unravel a bit though after several washes ... I need to go over all the stitching with a sewing machine.
