Striped top and bikini set - bra and panty set discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by K101

Looking at this set in the photos, it looks bold and well-fitting. However, the colors are not as bright and bold as they show in the photos and this was ill-fitting for my figure. It's one size fits most and I've had very few occasions where "one size fits most" is too big, but this was very large on me. It looks sexy, playful and the colors are fun. I like the stockings best because they look great on my legs I'd almost wear them with a skirt! They're like panty hose. They cover your entire foot and hit, on me, above my thighs. Since I'm short (5 1") I can get them to stretch all the way underneath my cheeks. I don't think the stockings would be a bad fit for most unless you're tall in which case they may be short. If you're short like me, you can roll the bands at the tops down. Doing this gives a tighter fit which I found helpful since mine slide down with a lot of movement. In the photos, the thong panty looks like a decent fit, but on me it's so huge that I cannot wear it. The sheer,transparency of this bikini is what seems to make the colors not as bold as they appear in the photos. I expected to look somewhat nice in it and while my partner says I make it look great, I found it to be ill-fitting. The last thing I felt in it was sexy and that took away from the mood. I was excited about this outfit and honestly was let down.




The top is like a regular string bikini. It's a halter style meaning it ties behind the neck as well as behind your back. The two pieces of fabric that cover your breasts are large and can be adjusted like a string bikini. You can slide them close together to reveal more breasts or slide them far apart for extra coverage. The halter tie (behind the neck tie) isn't strings like a string bikini. It's thick pieces of the fabric for each breast which causes you to have a thick tie back there. I must say, it was strange to me, unlike most bikini style lingerie. The top will probably be decent for most sizes unless you're bigger than a D. I'm a C on my right side and an A on my left so with no support, the difference in size is very obvious. The entire bikini set is transparent, very lightweight and thin. Like most thin, transparent materials, the tighter it is, the more 'see through' it'll be so keep this in mind. I'm sure this would fit a medium size to a large even.




The bottoms were a total fail. I must admit, I think this is made to fit someone who's more curvy to hold it up. I have no hips so maybe that's why the bottoms were a no go. It's like a thong, but a very wide thong. Unlike a thong, it does not nestle between the cheeks. On me, it's more like a very showy pair of cheeky underwear. The front is large too. It covers parts of my thighs as well as my bikini area. The main thing I hated about the thong (if you can call it that) is that it's very high cut on me. I don't mean the sides are high cut, the whole thing is high cut. If I wear them where they are meant to be worn, right around your hips, the crotch sags about 2 inches low revealing my entire crotch. My other option is to pull them higher up so the crotch doesn't sag, but that means hiking them up to cover the very bottom portion of my belly button! Still, not very attractive on me. The sides can be tied. They're string bikini style ties which are very thin, cute little pink strings. Unfortunately, even tied as tight as possible, they're baggy and the crotch isn't sexy. As far as that thong goes, I can't wear it. Maybe I'm built funny. I normally wear a zero in jeans so I usually don't have problems fitting a one size fits all. The comfort level of the set was fine. I had no discomfort and the polyester/spandex material wasn't scratchy, but soft and easily tears. The ties didn't dig in. The only discomfort I experienced was the way I looked in it. It isn't ugly, but I would've preferred it to have been closer in color as the photos.

For only $14 I didn't expect it to be stunning, but I did expect it to have some sort of quality to it, but instead it's of poor quality. I've gotten really sexy pieces for less than $15 many times, but they can't all be good I suppose. I just hate that it was a waste. It was simply just too big and very unflattering to my body type. I couldn't wear the thong because it's either hike it up to my belly or let it sag and that was far from sexy, let me tell you! The stockings weren't terrible and I plan to turn them into a pair of cute legging type things by cutting the foot out of them and sewing them up where they'll hit above the ankle. I wanted to get some kind of use out of this so I'll pair them with my skirt.

After trying this bikini set, I kept it around occasionally trying it on in hopes that it would magically look nice one day. It didn't. and I finally cleaned out my lingerie drawers and tossed this cheap thing. It is simply ugly. Everything is so baggy and saggy. I did keep the stockings although I don't wear them. They're the only decent thing to come of this.
