Ruby bustier and thong - bustier discontinued by DreamGirl - review by edeneve

Dreamgirl's Ruby Bustier and Thong are a beautiful shade of red with a blue undertone. The garments are a wonderful presentation of opaque and sheer material with lace, and a sprinkle of sequins. A very lovely set. As I spread the Bustier and Thong out on my bed I admired how pretty and feminine they are. Shoulder straps, bust underwire, and boning provide support and structure for the garment. The Bustier is much prettier than the EdenFantasy product page picture. In the picture it looks like it's almost a wet look.

The center front of the Bustier has a vertical row hook and eye closure. The remainder of this review will be based on the Bustier closure all hooked up. A V panel of satin squared off at the bottom edge forms most of the front of the Bustier. The satin extends up into the bust cups.

From the top of the cups to half way down the body, the satin is cut away 2 1/2" wide and at a steep downward V angle. A sheer lace insert fills the space. A light sprinkling of sequins, the same shade of red as the Bustier, are attached to the sheer lace. A vertical strip of plastic boning begins close the bottom of the bust underwire on each side of the bust and angles down toward the center front.

The remainder of the Bustier is a beautiful good quality stretchy sheer fabric. The Back has two pieces of plastic boning vertically placed in a straight line about half way between the side seams and the center point of the back.

Adjustable shoulder straps are placed neutrally. An easily removed adjustable garter is hooked onto the garment at the bottom of each of the four pieces of plastic boning. The shoulder straps and garters offer a fairly strong stretch.

The seams of the bustier are straight and even with no loose threads. All seams are reinforced. The boning and underwire seams are covered with a comfort fabric. The upper edges of the lace inserts of the cups are invisibly reinforced from the inside. A definite indication of quality construction.

The sizes available are 32, 34, 36, 38. However, these sizes are not on the sizing chart. The chart uses small, medium, and large sizing. So you will have to make your best guess for your size.

The Thong is a piece of lace that flows down to a solid piece of fabric in the crotch. The back of the thong is sheer fabric. The side straps have a stable amount of stretch.

The fabric of both garment pieces is 100% polyester. A small tag attached to the Bustier states to dry clean only. And the garments are made in China.

I ordered a size 38 which is the size bra I wear. The size 38 does not fit my breasts well at all. Neither the underwire or the cups fit well. It's just too big. Without actually trying on a smaller size, I can only guess whether the body of the Bustier will be the appropriate size. The body of this one does feel comfortable. I think that a smaller size will most likely not fit me as well.

The fit of Ruby bustier is a disappointment. The body of it fit well as I stated in the experience section of the review. However, because the breast cups are too large, I'm unable to wear it. Too bad since it's such a pretty bustier.
