Satin and lace garterbelt - garterbelt and panty set by Charm Wear - review by Forensicschick

The satin and lace garter belt and thong combo seems like an amazingly cute way to get your sexy on for your partner all while feeling great about your body...and I'm sure it is for some people. However, I, being 5' 9" and 159 pounds, did not feel this way. Although this garter belt is very cute, I got it in the size that says that it's a XL - but ladies with wide hips beware! It fit me like a XS and since I have longer legs than the average female, the straps were short on me as well. It felt like my body type wasn't fit to wear it and I couldn't feel excited or sexy in it, no matter how much I wanted to. Granted, I have given birth twice and my hips are wider; I feel like anything that says it's a XL should fit me.

This garter belt is usually used with knee high stockings but can also be used with thigh high stockings or fish nets. It's completely black polyester (not satin like the name says) and the lace is very see through with not much give. The sides are slightly shiny and solid, whereas the front is a cute little lace rose pattern. That is honestly the only PRO I can think of for this product, as I said, it's not for anyone that could be considered "Plus Sized" (anything over a size 8-10). There are two dangling straps from the front and back of each leg that clasp onto the top of the stockings/fish nets. The outfit also comes with a small, generic g-string that is also black and has a small mesh type material on the front. Another con as I've mentioned is that it's very short, the longest point being about 4 inches long. I'd say the majority of it is about 3 or so inches long. It doesn't have very much stretch to it, so it's hard to get it to stretch a little for more length. I'd say it really doesn't stand out or make an impact to your outfit at all in general.

It's discreet, so I guess that's good...but I don't think "discreet" when I think of being "sexy". I want my accessories to stand out a little, to make an impact on how my partner sees me when I walk through the door or crawl onto the bed. However, that is not how I felt and I'm a little disappointed that something that was supposed to make me feel super confident left me feeling shy and insecure. Overall, I would say that this garter belt combo is not worth it if you're not smaller than a size 10 - or at the very least if you have tiny hips. Overall rating is about a 2-3 out of 10 if I'm being generous.
