The Opaque Fence Net Garter Dress with Stockings by DreamGirl is packaged in a cardboard box, covered in clear plastic. The front of the box states the company name, size, and colour. The front also has a photo of a model wearing the dress. The back of the packaging has a back view of the model wearing the dress, states the material composition, care instructions, and the same information from the front of the packaging. The dress is only available in one-size-fits-most and in the colour black.



Inside of the packaging, the dress is wrapped around a cardboard piece, surrounded by plastic. Neither of the packaging is good for storage.

The dress is made of 80% nylon and 20% spandex. The entire outfit is extremely stretchy. Right out of the packaging, the dress is tiny. By tiny I mean, a 6 inch waist. You can see how very tiny it is right out of the package in the photo below.



Typically I take measurements of lingerie pieces unstretched, but in this case, I’ll be taking measurements of the item stretched as much as I can. I’ve noted which measurements are stretched, and which are not. The measurements were taken of the dress laying flat. If you need additional measurements, please send me a message and I can get them for you.

Chest (armpit to armpit) stretched as much as I possibly could: 29 inches
Bottom of dress width stretched as much as I could: 29 inches
Length of dress unstretched: 21 inches
Length of dress stretched as much as I could: 55 inches
Garter strap length unstretched: 4 inches
Garter strap width: ¼ of an inch
Stockings length unstretched: 22 inches
Stockings length stretched as much as I possibly could: 60 inches

The entire outfit is one piece. The thigh highs are attached to the dress with “garters”. The garters are just elastic band. I’m 5’6 and the outfit fits me well. There is a lot of stretch to the outfit and stockings so someone who is much taller than me should be able to wear this without a problem. Also, the packaging says that the one-size-fits-most is best for those in the weight bracket of 90-160lbs. I’m actually a bit over the highest weight in that bracket and it still fit me comfortably. I typically wear a size XL.

The solid black material becomes more sheer the more you stretch it. There is a solid black section down the front of the dress with thin elastic straps down the sides, and down the centre back. There are thin black sections that run down the sides of the centre back strapped area. It’s actually much easier to see in the stock photo. I can’t give good measurements of this because it all depends on how much stretch you need in the dress.

The straps on the dress are very thin and do not create any sort of “muffin top” appearance when I was wearing it. This is a huge plus for me. I actually really love the look of the straps down the side of my body. The straps hug my curves but don’t highlight the areas I’m insecure about.

There is no chest support in the dress, and there is no panty included. You can pair the dress with any pair of panty you have, or wear it with no panties at all!

The material was really comfortable against my skin and I didn’t have any issues with irritation at all. The only problem I had with the outfit was that there is no reinforcement in the toe. Since the stockings are fishnet, my toes stuck right through the fishnet. This was also a small annoyance when trying to put the stockings on because my toes kept poking through the holes. You can see this in the photo below (please excuse my gnarly toes).



The box states that the outfit should be hand washed separately in cold water and line dried. The item should not be bleached. There is no care tag in the outfit, so you may want to keep the box for the care instructions. I suggest storing the outfit on a hanger in your closet so that it doesn’t become tangled and un-wearable.

Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. It’s an inexpensive piece and it looks fabulous on! It does have the potential to tangle easily, but as long as you take care of it, it should last for quite awhile. The only annoying thing about this dress is that my toes poke through the fishnet stockings, but this is a really small annoyance. All in all, the dress deserves a 5 out of 5.
