Red lace halter ruffle chemise - chemise discontinued by Escante - review by SweetDivalia

I love this little chemise by Escante. I, personally, bought the size small in red. Escante has been known for producing affordable lingerie, and this certainly counts under that umbrella term. This little red chemise is lacy and has absolutely no wire or metal (unlike some lingerie) which increases the comfy factor. The outfit has a halter-style neck and features a red bow at the waist and another bow at the back of the dress. This chemise has a low back which I find incredibly beautiful. The Escante dress is made entirely of lace, and the dress is short enough to show some bum, so make sure not to try to wear this in public! I love the color of this chemise. It comes in the same vibrant red as can be seen on the product page, and if you look closely, you can see a floral pattern, but it's not very evident in the pictures. The set comes with a small thong with a bow in the front. It is made from the same material as the halter.

Care for this chemise gently, as the outfit is as fragile as it is soft. After one go-round in the washer, my hubby made the mistake of NOT putting the chemise in a net bag with the rest of my delicates. I later noticed my pretty, little, red chemise clinging for dear life to velcro. BAD move. Always put your delicates (bras, panties, lace) in a net/mesh bag before allowing it to join the rest of your laundry in either the washer or dryer. As far as I can tell, my chemise survived, but it was a very close call. Lace and velcro NEVER mix, ladies. That's a fact.

In any case, besides the random laundry hiccup (which is no fault of the designer), I am incredibly pleased with this purchase. It's simple, beautiful, and affordable - all the traits I love in my lingerie!
