Makin waves - costume discontinued by DreamGirl - review by never shy

I ordered this not knowing if I would wear it in the bedroom or if it would just be a one time Halloween costume. When I received this, I was amazed with how sexy it actually was.

This comes in a regular Halloween costume bag. The bag has a picture of a model wearing the costume two different ways. In the main picture, the woman is wearing the sailor outfit with the optional jacket and it has a smaller picture where the woman is not wearing the matching jacket. The picture also lists what is included which is the dress, long sleeved shrug (the jacket) and the sailor hat. I think a nice addition to this would have been a pair of thigh highs but you can always buy a pair from the Eden website. The picture also lists the style number, size, weight appropriate for the size and that the suggested age is 14-adult. This costume is made in China. I did not notice a smell when I opened the bag and removed it. The package does not look cheesy or too sexy. I brought it out and showed my 14 year old niece my "Halloween costume" and she loved it (don't worry, I go to a few Halloween parties a year so she does not know it is also a bedroom costume as well).

I ordered size large and the suggested weight is 140-160 lbs and I weigh about 165 currently. It fits me perfectly except the area for the boobs seems to run small-average. I wear a d-dd bra depending on size and I am spilling out a little but it does cover my nipple area so it is not too small. I think the fact that it shows some boobage makes it sexier. It is designed to not have to wear a bra with it which works even for me and usually that is hard to pull off with Halloween costumes. It is pretty short so if you are wearing it outside of the bedroom for a public costume you may want to wear booty shorts or something that may cover your butt when you bend over. But for the bedroom, it seems perfect. I actually think this is one of the cutest costumes I have ever bought. I have about 20 costumes including French maid and various sexy costumes and this one is by far cuter and sexier.

The tag on the dress says dry clean only and it is made out of 100% polyester. If you are not going to dry clean the sailor costume, I would suggest hand washing and letting it air dry. I think if you would wash it in the washer it might shrink and possibly tear off the metallic bows across the bust of the costume. If you were to dry it in a dryer, I also think it would shrink and possibly tear the costume and fade the bows and stars that are on the jacket.

I think this is a great costume for any woman. I think it is fine to wear out in public as a costume. Again you may want to wear shorts under it just in case and it is also a sexy bedroom costume. The bag says 14+ for the age to wear it but I do think it is a little too sexy for a 14 year old but I have seen teenagers wear worse than this. I showed my husband the outfit and believe me he loved it. I love all three pieces including the jacket but for the bedroom I do not think I will wear the jacket. But if I do wear it this Halloween, I will wear the jacket with it. I loved that it covered my stomach area and did not make my stomach look big or like it was too tight. For myself, my stomach is always my area I try to cover and make look smaller and this did a great job. The only fault I can find with the costume is that it does not come with thigh highs which I think will make it sexier, but a lot of costumes do not. It also does not come with underwear but that is fine with me. I am not sure how long this will hold up since it is a costume and made very thin, but I could be wrong. It may hold up for a while since I have only had mine for a day I can not say if it will or will not hold up. It is just my opinion that it seems thin like it may get a hole easily.
