Spiderweb tie top set - bed jacket discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by Alicia

The spiderweb tie-top set is actually a one size fits most that's true to its word. I bought this set not for true lingerie purposes, but to actually wear the jacket as a top with a cami underneath. The spiderweb design was perfect to go along with my Halloween costume, though anyone who likes a darker look would find this perfect for any day.

I was a bit worried about whether or not this would fit me well, as we all know that sometimes "one size fits most" means "one size fits small", but once I slipped this set on my worries were eased. It fit me well and I wear a large or x-large top usually. One note though, it did not fit me like it fits the model in the pictures. While the lace does stretch the part below the tie did not stretch on its own, therefore the bottom half of the jacket did not come around my torso, this was fine for the purpose I wanted it for though, it allowed more of the cami to show, and its main purpose was to have something covering my arms and protecting them from cold. The shorts also fit nicely, they even had a bit more stretch left to them. There's quite a bit of elastic to the lace, so this set would also fit well on a smaller woman as well.

Both the jacket and the shorts are made from a nylon lace that has a spiderweb pattern to it. Usually I'm pretty hesitant about lace because I have sensitive skin that is usually bothered by certain fabrics. This lace did feel slightly scratchy at first, but I was able to wear it most of the night without an issue. I wouldn't wear either the top or the bottom to bed, it's not nearly comfortable enough for that, but otherwise it's perfectly fine. The shorts I didn't find all that comfortable, but I'm usually more of a cotton panties type of girl. The material felt itchy not only on the unlined crotch but also at the waist. This could be because of it being tighter on me, so your mileage may vary.

My only complaint about the top was the way the wrists are done. It's not a single length of fabric, there is a seam along the wrists and then another piece that comes out to make the flowing ends that cover the hand. The overall look is really nice, gives it quite the gothic look, but I'd have preferred for it to be a single strip of fabric. The shorts would have been more comfortable if they had a cotton crotch built into them, though I guess that would take away from the appeal of a lacy bottom that can be seen through.

The top also looks great without anything underneath of it. The top is low cut enough to be incredibly sexy, but there is ample coverage to leave a bit to the imagination. This is with my size though, a smaller woman would likely have more coverage, much like the model in the picture. I have B/C cup breasts, and I found that I was able to allow my cleavage to show with this, because you can choose how tight you tie it I think it would fit just about any size breasts. The ties can be done either in a bow, or somewhat loosely knotted. Since the fabric is so slinky wearing it as a bow still allowed it to drape nicely and didn't look silly. I also found that the elongated wrists fit me nicely, covering my hands and then a bit of extra drape but they were not overly long to the point that they became annoying, which was nice since I wore this to a party and didn't have to fiddle with my outfit at all.

To take care of this set you can hand wash it, or if your washer has a delicate or hand wash cycle you could use that as well, just slip it into a lingerie bag. It should be allowed to drip dry, do not try putting this set in the dryer.
