Brocade corset - corset discontinued by Coquette - review by Minxy

I have to start out by saying this corset is GORGEOUS! And it is very well made!


Materials: The brocade fabric is nice quality. It shimmers nicely, it has a lovely sheen. Beware, there is absolutely no stretch to this fabric. The flower and leave pattern is feminine and very elegant looking and I would say it's slightly raised. Bordering the top and bottom of the corset is beautiful black woven type of trim. Helping keep the shape is plastic boning, three ribs per side. The boning is fairly flexible while remaining formative. This corset covers from the bust to the "pooch" area of the stomach. Most women that have children should know what that means...Lol.


Closure: The closures are both soft and very rigid. The front has seven metal male and female hooks that close the corset. This boning, holding the metal hooks is firmer than the plastic boning. I cant tell if it's metal but it's firm! The back laces up with black nylon type, woven ribbon and is very sexy. Although the ends of the nylon laces have to be melted with a lighter or they fray like CRAZY! The lace up back allows for quite a bit of flexibility in sizing and is what I would the soft closure. I was sent an extra large. I'm able to wear a size 12 short, 40D cup bra and I cant fit into this corset. I almost fit, I can latch about three latches mid way, toward the bottom. I wish I had requested plus size. I'm very broad through the top so this may not be an issue for others.


This stunner is in no way see through, so it could be worn out to a club if you so choose. I really love the construction and the look is a definite stunner inside the bedroom and out.
