Lace top stockings with backseam - stockings discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by ~LaUr3n~

These stockings are a great price and come in a lot of different colors. My boyfriend got them for me in white to go with a new piece of lingerie. I love them! They are possibly the best solid thigh highs I have ever owned. I also really like the vintage back seam. They accommodate a bit more than the traditional one-sized stockings, but still read my sizing section to be sure these will work for you.

This is a set of solid nylon, closed toe, reinforced lace thigh band, stockings with a back seam up the leg. They do have a thick lace band for the thighs, so they can be worn with or without garters.

*Material:

This set of stockings is made of very soft and fine 100% nylon. The material is not irritating to me at all. The toes are not reinforced and are closed. This makes them best for closed toe heels. The material stretches nicely without compromising shape. The solid white is see-through sheer when put on. The skin can be seen and so will any tattoos you may have.

*Design/craftsmanship:

For the price, I wouldn't expect too much, but these stockings feel and look very nice. Even the thigh bands are pretty and detailed lace. They are over 3 inches wide with a scalloped top edge. This is thick enough to provide a bit of a control top, but not thick enough that rolling won't occur. If I didn't put them on the right spot on my thigh, the lace sometimes would fold.

When attaching to garters, you have to be careful to not poke holes in the delicate lace. I used garters with mine and I was lucky to have them be high quality so I didn't rip the stockings. Garters are not needed though, they stay up no problem.

The back seam up the back of the thigh is not felt when worn. It is soft, although it is raised. It takes a bit of practice to put them on and get the seam to run up the leg straight. It took me two times to get it right.

*Cleaning/care/storage:

Cleaning these takes care so you don't cause any runs. They need to be washed by hand and then drip dried. Don't ever bleach them. If you want to run them through the washer and dryer, put them in a pillow case and tie it so they don't get caught on anything else. Dry them also in the pillow case on very low delicate heat for about 10 minutes. When storing, I would fold them in on themselves, like socks to decrease the chance of rips.

*Sizing:

These are very comfortable! They fit a little larger than the average one size 90-160 pounds. The packaging does say 90-160 pounds but I think that the range is better suited to 110-170. I say this because they could fall down on small thighs and would roll on larger ones. My thighs are about 24" around and are muscular. I would say that these would fit up to 26" comfortably. Because the band is lace, making a slit in it to make more room would ruin the stockings.

I am 5'6" and my legs are about 31" long. These stockings also are longer than others I have. Stretching them without too much pull gave them a length of 38". These could be worn by tall women.

Conclusion: I'm giving these 5 stars. The sizing is great and accommodates thicker thighs. They have a pretty lace band and look super sexy with the back seem.

I love these stockings! As long as you are careful about snagging, and clean them as I explained...they will last quite a while. I believe I have worn them 5-6 times and washed them almost as many times. I only have a few small snags around the feet (from buckles on my heels) that are not noticeable unless pointed out. I love these so much, that I bought them in a few more colors. Whether for one time use or for a few, these are a great choice!
