Sheer Soft Cup Peek-A-Boo Babydoll (OS) Review

This sexy number will be great on the right body type -- but I don't have that body. If you wear under a c-cup (ideally a B cup), this piece might look great on you, if you can get over the short length.

extremely useful review
This item could be really sexy on the right body -- I just don't have that type of body. Sadly, I doubt that many people do.

Basics:
This item is brought to us by Dreamgirl. I usually have success with Dreamgirl's lingerie, but this one (and most of the other recent additions) have been flops for me. That said, this item is a bargain at $14.99. For that price, you receive the babydoll and the matching g-string.

Material & Care:
The set is made out of 100% Nylon.

The material is completely see through, and very stretchy.

As for wearing, the fabric feels comfortable on my skin. It should be noted, however, that the material isn't exactly soft to the touch. It's not scratchy, either, but it doesn't have that "touchable" feel that I prefer my lingerie to have.

The iris color is a bit lighter in reality than it appears in the stock photo, but that might just be my computer screen. Either way, I found myself wishing that this piece was a darker color; the light iris just wasn't sexy to me.

To care for this set, it's recommended that you hand wash it and then allow it to line dry. That being said, I see no reason why you couldn't throw this item in the delicate cycle of your washing machine. Still, I would advise you to stick to line drying.

Sizing:
This item is only available in one size fits most, which is a real shame.

According to the size chart, one size fits most should fit the following measurements:
Cups: B-C
Bust: 32-38"
Waist: 24-32"
Hips: 34-40"

I wear a large C/small D cup, and have a 32" waist. My hips are 40".

For this item, the waist and hip measurements aren't really relevant, due to the way that this piece flares out. What is relevant is the bust size, so I'd advice you to pay closet attention to that measurement.

My large C/small D breasts were overflowing the cups. I was able to get it on, but it wasn't comfortable or flattering. My breasts were flowing out of it, and it was plain to see that this babydoll just did not want to hold them.

I don't believe that this item will fit anything larger than a small, firm C cup (and even that might be pushing it).

The cups measure 6" across the center, and 4" going down the middle. I really wish the cups were larger.

The included g-string measures 12.5" unstretched, and 21" stretched. I was able to fit my 40" hips into it, but it cut into my skin in a manner that wasn't at all attractive.
Experience
Design:
One of the most important things with lingerie seems to be bust support. This item offers very little bust support, as it has no underwire or padding. It does have a seam that goes under the cups, which seems like it's meant to provide a hint of support. That seam didn't offer me any support at all, but it might help provide a little bit of support to someone with a smaller chest.

The cups have a sexy peekaboo hole on them. Your nipples are supposed to sort of peek through them, but for me, I had trouble lining my nipples up with the hole. The hole ended up just looking funny and feeling strange for me, but my guy did enjoy the sight.

The peekaboo hole is tied in the center with a black ribbon. The ribbon is able to be untied, so you have the option of opening it completely, or tying it tighter if you find the need.

The straps on this set are adjustable. To adjust them, you simply slide the little plastic bit up and down, much like you would with bra straps. While the straps are adjustable, it should be noted that they are not removable.

There is a visible seam going down the center of the back of the babydoll. The seam doesn't bother me when I wear it, but it does make the babydoll look a bit cheap, in my opinion.

The bottom of the babydoll is wavy, with parts of it appearing shorter than others. This would be a very sexy look if the chemise was longer, but on me it was just too short to be flattering. The chemise is 18" long, unstretched, at it's longest point.

Now, one issue that I have with this babydoll is the actual cut of it. The cut makes it so that the material flows OUTWARD over my curves. This makes me look, and feel, fat and a bit boxy. It's not an attractive look.

My favorite thing about the design? The black trim. The entire babydoll is accented with gorgeous black trim. The top has a cute little black ruffle, which makes the piece appear very delicate. The wide black, lace band on the lower half is not quite as delicate looking, but it's still very pretty.

The included g-string matches the babydoll, being a iris triangle with a black border. The g-string does not have a pantyliner, which is disappointing.

Quality:
The mesh on this set feels durable, but I still recommend handling this item with care. It's not a high quality piece, as the edges aren't finished. Also, straight out of the box, the top lace band appeared to be fraying. I have concerned that it won't hold up to more than a few pieces. Still -- for $14.99, it's decent.
Follow-up commentary
Due to the poor fit, this ended up being returned to Eden Fantasy's. I don't think this will fit many people properly, which is a real shame.
