Silken soiree bustier and thong - bustier discontinued by DreamGirl - review by AzealiaB

This was my first lingerie item that I've EVER owned and I must say, I probably should have tried some things on in stores before making my first lingerie selection online. I should have known, since I have a small build. Oh well, I'll try again next time!

The Silken Soiree Bustier is a fully boned corset with see-through mesh panels. The cups have an underwire, but are not lined at all - the material is actually rather thin here - and trimmed with feathery black lace. It also comes with a matching thong. This set comes in a silky deep purple jewel tone, made out of 8% spandex and 92% nylon. The material feels thick and well-made, and it's very smooth and stretchy, while the eyelet closures in the back are sturdy and secure. Overall, it appears to be a pretty high quality bustier.

However, the fit is where it got me - this bustier really did not look good on me at all. I ordered a small, and the size chart is below. I am 5' tall and weigh 95 lbs, and wear a 32 B in bras.


Around my waist, the corset fit snugly, not overly tight, but I think if I gained a few more pounds it might be uncomfortably tight. But the cups on this bustier were way too large and saggy - my breasts did not fill them out at all. And although I am a small girl, I normally fill out a B cup pretty well! There is no padding in the cups and are very thin overall. The underwire didn't really provide any lift either. Since I have a short torso, this bustier was also too long for me; it came down past my hips and actually overlapped the matching thong quite a bit. The panels actually shortened my torso even more and made me look wide.

On a taller person with larger than B cup breasts, I would imagine this could be a nice looking outfit, but unfortunately, it is not something I could wear in the bedroom.

This piece never fit me very well, and I tried different way of wearing it but it still just doesn't work. I really wanted to like this item but it just doesn't look good at all.
