Simply Pink

The Pink Lace and Mesh Thong by Baci is a well priced, no frills find that I love. If you're looking for an everyday wear piece of underwear then this is a good start. However if you're hoping for something that will be long lasting in the years to come this might not be your best bet.

Overview
You confuse me Baci. I have not read good things about your full body lingerie items and all of your panties are too small for most women. Yet you provide affordable, quality, semi-lasting bras and panties. I hope one day you figure out what direction you’re trying to go in, it’ll be less confusing for everyone.
On to the review! Here is the Pink Lace and Mesh Thong by, yup you guessed it, Baci. This lovely item was kindly gifted to me by the wonderfully generous Beck in May. Thanks again so much!!!! I wanted these because they are Baci panties and even though this manufacturer doesn’t know what it wants to be yet i.e. quality or crappy I do enjoy what they do with their underwear.
Material and Texture
According to the tag the Pink Lace and Mesh Thong is made of 90% Nylon and 10% Spandex. Maybe you’re perplexed. Now this is called a mesh thong yet it’s said to be made of nylon. Well there is such a thing as nylon mesh; this material is akin to what you would find in pantyhose. Meaning nylon portion of this panty, i.e. the lower portion of the thong, is super silky soft like pantyhose. The lace waistband, which is 2 inches thick, is a bit rougher but not something you’ll notice once you’re wearing the thong. As for the spandex if I had to take a guess I would say it accounts for the shiny trim found around the lower portion. There is a 2 inch long cotton crotch that is 1 inch at its widest point and 1/4 inch at its smallest. This is a good addition to any panty since bacteria can fester in non-cotton materials which is not something we should want near our crotch.

Design and Craftsmanship
The Pink Lace and Mesh Thong may or may not be offered in 3 colors here on Eden. They are black, white, and pink(?). You may be asking yourself why I say may or may not. Well if you follow the link that leads me to the pink thong which I own the product page shifts from discontinued to out of stock in a with a few seconds delay. If I switch over and, say, click on the black thong the pink disappears from the selection altogether. My guess is the pink is no longer offered but that is the version I have pictured here, same design and quality, just a different shade.
Speaking of design and quality the Pink Lace and Mesh Thong is a pretty simply made panty. As stated earlier it is made of a nylon material that that covers the back of the thong as well as the triangular front. The mesh is transparent so if you are someone who does not like their pubic hairs sticking out of their panties this might be a problem. Depending on your hair care downstairs of course. The spandex is stitched along the sides of the mesh that lines the entire lower half of the panty and ends at the waistband. From here there is a floral lace design that is nice but not quite as detailed as the Flower Lace Boyshorts that I own. At the ends of the lace waistband you will find tiny fringes which are not irritating at all.
In terms of quality this thong is not the best, Baci probably could have done better. If you look inside of the thong you can see where the lower half is sewn into the lace with noticeable tufts of mesh sticking out of the stitching. Also the fringes come and go around the panty as if the manufacturer was attempting to emulate a pattern but failed. Instead there are uneven groups of fringe sticking out, some large and others small.

Packaging and Cleaning
I absolutely love the packaging this manufacturer sends it’s panties in. It makes me feel like I’m getting a really fancy pair of undies. The packaging is a flat, cardboard envelope with the panty neatly folded inside. From there the Baci panty is placed in a cellophane bag that holds a cardboard backing. Cleaning directions are provided on the back of the outer envelope. Here the manufacturer recommends that you wash these in the machine away from your colors in warm water. It is okay to tumble dry this product. They ask that you do not use bleach that contains chlorine and keep away from an iron. This is a pretty simple thong without too many frills so I would agree on their assessment. Although I would like to warn you that warm water will cause the coloring of these panties to fade over time if that something you’re worried about.

Baci Size Chart

These panties are available in sizes Small-Large here on Eden and one thing about this brand you want to be aware of is that their panties run small. I have in my possession the medium and find that these fit me rather well but probably don’t have too much stretch let in them. I would recommend paying close attention to the measurements listed on the size chart. If you’re at the edge of the sizing, go a size up. In general the Baci panties don’t seem like a brand that will do much for women with larger derrières since they run so small.
Likes and Dislikes
What I wasn’t so fond of
The quality of this product isn’t the best and that annoys me almost as much as the sizing. Don’t get me wrong this won’t deter me from purchasing this product in different colors, but I fear too many cycles in the wash can only foretell bad things to come. The thinness of the lace and poor stitching near the back of the thong mean I won’t be able to wear these as much as I would like if I want to keep them without holes or loose threads. This sucks but for six bucks I’ll make due and just grab more when the time comes.

What I liked
For the most part I really like this thong. Baci makes a super affordable product that is simple yet beautiful. The lace may not be as nice as I know this manufacturer is capable of but it still sits comfortably on the hips which I appreciate. Plus it’s always a pleasure to know that there is a cotton crotch in located in the product. I will not purchase any underwear that does not contain this feature, it’s not worth the risk of infection.

That is pretty affordable. I usually don't dry these kinds of undies. The lace and fabric tend to break apart easy. Maybe the undies will last longer if you don't put in dryer? But like you said, for $6 I mean, you can afford another pair! Thanks for the review.
