Velvet forest evening gown - gown discontinued by Fantasy Lingerie - review by Mamastoys

Being a blue jeans and sweatshirt girl, this gown was going to be a different world for me. Sure, I wear dresses when I have to but I prefer to wear my jeans and go places that expect you to wear pants. We were invited to an elegant New Year's Eve party and needless to say, I had nothing to wear. I requested the Velvet Forest Cowl Neck Evening Dress to wear to the party. When it arrived several days before the party, I was skeptical. The gown's first appearance was a little intimidating to me. Being well endowed in the bust area, I wasn't convinced that material was enough to support me and keep me in line.

When I tried the gown on,I became more skeptical. However, the silver-toned rings that connects the chiffon shoulder straps to the front were adjustable and once I pulled the straps up some, there was some support. I liked the slits that ran up both sides of the gown to my thighs. Being tall and long legged, the slits drew attention to my legs and away from by boobs! The material was soft, silky, and rich feeling. The inside was stretchy and soft to my skin and the velvet was designed to draw attention. The sheerness of the material added to the sexiness of the gown.

As I dressed for the party, I still wasn't very comfortable with how I looked. But, one look from my hubby made me anticipate the evening and what laid ahead. Once we arrived at the party, I got several "looks" which really made me appreciate the gown even more! As the evening wore on and the drinks were flowing, I felt more comfortable and relaxed. When hubby suggested we find a secluded area, I really appreciated the slits and sheerness of the gown. When he discovered that I was wearing the butterfly crotchless panties that I had previously ordered, needless to say, we brought the New Year in right!

I chose a larger size than I usually wear in shirts and it was a good fit. The stretchiness of the material helped it to fit but not to hang too loose.

This gown makes me feel special every time I wear it. Having worn it several times now, hubby still stands and admires me in it (and when it comes off). There must be some magical power in it because it never stay on through the evening! ;O

I did decide to have it dry cleaned instead of washing it myself. The tag does say you can wash and tumble dry but I didn't want to take the chance. Not sure what the guy at the cleaners thought when I took it in !!

I have been very pleased with this product and would recommend it to anyone.
