Leopard shelf bra set - shelf bra, panty and garter belt set discontinued by Coquette - review by Kissy

Coquette items (for the most part) seem to be well made, comfortable and cute. I am a big fan. That is why I had no hesitation when buying this Leopard Shelf Bra. First off, it was made by Coquette, secondly it was leopard print. I love leopard print... just look through my reviews (like this one: Animalistique Garter Slip and Thong!) Unfortunately, this was my first time purchasing a shelf bra, and now I know they are not for me.

Design/Shape:
There are three pieces to this set. All three pieces are made of black flowery lace and a fabric with leopard print design of browns and black. On the other side of the leopard print, the fabric is white/grey. The stitching throughout is black. There are small tags on each piece stating the size. All of the pieces are stretchy.

The shelf bra is adjustable in the straps. It is an underwire type, which is nice for keeping things in place. There is a tiny silver kiss mouth trinket in the center of the bra (this is Coquette's symbol). The lace cups are a little over 1" in size at the very center. The cups are made of lace only. The bra closure is a hook and eye type. There are three size settings. There are 6 eyes total and 2 hooks.

The thong is fairly high-waisted, it fits odd. From the top to the crotch seam it is 12". That's pretty long! The thong back piece is thick, about 3/4". The waist is very stretchy and accommodating. The waist band can be stretched to 40" in circumference.

The garter belt is attached with a single hook closure in the back that is adjustable. The waist in the garter can stretch to about 40" in circumference. There are two pretty lace sections on the front. The four garter strings are adjustable, but not removable.

Sizing:
I ordered this set in a size Medium after reviewing the sizing information and deciding anything larger than that would be too big. I found the sizing information page: here. I am normally a size small-medium in lingerie. I am 5'4", 125lbs, 36"-38" hips, 34D, and average built. I found this fit well overall with the exception of the underwear. They were just too high on the hips.

Care/ Maintenance:
The product tag on the inside of the shelf bra says hand wash.

Material/Texture:
Material: Nylon 80% / Spandex 20%

Both of these materials combine to make for a VERY comfortable set. It feels so soft against my skin. If it were a different item, I would wear it all night! It is smooth and your fingers easily glide against the fabric. It is fairly breathable and light weight.

The construction of this piece is well done. The seams are complete, the thread is finished, and the craftsmanship is good. The piece feels like it will last in the long run and can handle tugging and stretching.

Personal Experience :
This three piece set is great to walk into the bedroom with if you want to show off your boobies in a flash! There is nothing to hide in a shelf bra! Of course you could hide a little more if you put pasties on your nipples, but they are not included. When you wear these three pieces, you will shock your partner. Immediately he/she will know what you want. And they won't be able to keep their eyes off of you until you get it. There is no question about that.

Unfortunately for me, I don't feel comfortable in the shelf bra piece because of my breast size. I am just too saggy and big for these. You could be a 34D and fit in these well, if your breast weren't saggy or if they were fake. But if they are anything like mine, they will sag right over the entire bra, and look like there is nothing there! Wait, where did the bra disappear to? Oh yeah, to view bra, lift boobs... awkward.

Conclusion: ★★★ (because it doesn't fit me right, and the odd high underwear)

This isn't my most beloved piece, but it is just personal style preference. I am not that comfortable with showing so much boob. I really wish these came with the pasties and that might be better. I do wear the garter sometimes, but the shelf bra and the panties - no. Someone with a smaller chest would probably enjoy these more! after all, it is a cute print!
