Soft & Sexy & Squeeze?

This mini-dress is hard to summarize. It has some really good qualities, but also some really unfortunate ones. With this kind of price-- though low-- I generally wouldn't want to buy something that I had to alter when it got to me. But it is really very pretty, and has potential to be lingerie you'd actually want to wear; simple, pretty, and so comfortable! But this is definitely a read-before-you-buy situation, where you should weigh your options.

Pros
Soft material, very affordable, and also very pretty! Comfy under dresses.
Cons
Tights, garters, and dress are all attached, and none are adjustable. Hard to get into.

The Basics:
This white "lace" "bustier" set by Music Legs is a simple nylon halter lingerie set. The pattern is a basic-- very pretty-- flower and leaves sort, with lacy trim around the bottom, the tops of the thigh-his, and the "garters". I am using quotations for a reason, I swear. It's length is 30'' from top to bottom (including the thigh-his) and is unfortunately one-size-fits-most. It has a low price and an appealing look that is simple, chic, and just the right amount of sexy.

The Good:
I really like this. That's not a good thing, exactly, but I wanted to start with it. It's soft and pretty and feels good on my skin. It has its issues, which we'll talk about, but for the price I think it would be worth a try if it has the look that you're looking for. It stretches really well (it has to) and is just plain comfortable on a whole, and that impresses me. I love the way the flowery tights look underneath a simple, pretty dress; really pretty (you'd never know they were attached to a lace mini-skirt-bustier up top).
If only it had some strategically placed flower patterns right over the nipple area; I feel more naked when they're exposed.

The Bad:
Here's the biggest one; the whole thing is attached, and none of it is adjustable. And remember; it's one-size-fits-all. There's also no way to get in it, really. It would be easier if it was JUST a halter top and didn't have that strap down the middle, but that strap causes big trouble. You can either pull on the tights first and try to stretch the garter straps up far enough to squeeze yourself into the top, or you can try to roll the whole thing up like panty hose, and either go in through the opening of the halter and try to squeeze the back over your arms, or go in through one side of the back-strap and try to squeeze the halter over your head. Any way you choose (even ones I didn't think of) are a little more annoying (and risky; you just paid for the damn thing, you don't want to tear it) than I'd like in a piece of lingerie.
Now back to the non-adjustable part. The thigh-his are huge for a small (and possibly too slim for a large, but width-wise they were only a little loose) and the straps don't adjust, so really the only way for this to work is either to A) let the tights scrunch down like giant lace-y leg warmers, B) pull them all the way up my legs (pretty much up to my crouch) while pulling the dress over them, and letting the straps hang down in little flaps (tucking them into the tops of the tights is effective, but doesn't last long), or C) cut/hem/alter them in some way that involves scissors or needles. B, with the straps tucked in, worked the best for me but only for a short time. In the long wrong, I am considering altering them with a needle and thread, though if I get frustrated I am likely to just cut off the straps and wear the delightful thigh-his whenever the hell I want. But I like garters, so... there's that.
Unfortunately, the dress itself isn't adjustable either, which means it never quite feels tight enough up to without (again) adjustments involving safety pins, which should really never be anywhere near your lingerie. I like bustiers that give a little boost, and the fact that my breasts sag under this one makes me like it a little less. Again, some strategically placed flower might help this....

BUT! The one-size-fits-all, no-adjustments thing does make for one plus side: it's comfortable! It really is. Especially with such soft material, which is a little surprising out of a length of nylon.

Care:
According the the images on the back of the box, it should be hand washed, and possibly hung up, but other than that I could not decipher the secret language that is laundry hieroglyphics. Also, you probably never want to let it touch the ground. Hair sticks to it like cheap glue, and it's a pain to get out of the lace-y holes.
Follow-up commentary
I have actually found surprising uses for this, despite it's flaws. In particular, it made a great addition to a last minute Rocky Horror outfit for halloween. The lacy straps and back showed over my strapless dress, and the hose (though constantly falling down) looked both pretty and sexy under the dress, with a pair of black heels.
It's still not going to be used often, but I am glad to have it!
