Rhinestone backseam stockings - stockings discontinued by Leg Avenue - review by Breas

The Rhinestone Backseam Stockings by Leg Avenue arrived in a plastic package, with cardboard surrounding the stockings. The front of the packaging has a photo of a model wearing the stockings, along with the company name, product name, and size. The back of the packaging has a back view of the models legs, along with the product name, material composition, and care instructions. The packaging really isn’t good for storing the stockings.



I purchased these quite a while ago, but just recently opened them up to wear them. Unfortunately, the pair I received is defective. Only one of the stockings has the 11 rhinestones on it, while the other has 3. I thought that maybe they would be in the package, but they weren’t. So clearly they were packaged this way. It’s been well over 30 days since I had purchased these, so I don’t think I am able to return them. I’ll be reviewing the stockings based on the one stocking that had all the rhinestones in tact.

The stockings are only available in one-size-fits-most. The packaging gives a weight bracket of 90-160lbs. I’m a bit over this bracket, but still was able to fit into these stockings. The only problem was that the band gave my upper thigh a bit of a muffin top look. It wasn’t painful; it just didn’t look sexy.



The stockings are 100% nylon so they have a lot of stretch to them. The stockings are black and see-through. The more you need to stretch the stockings, the more see-through they become. The top band on the stockings is 4 ½ inches unstretched. The band is 1 ½ in height. When I stretched the band with my hands, they measured approximately 13 inches. Unstretched, the 11 rhinestones are 1 ½ inches apart from one another.

I’m 5’6, and the stockings fit me well in length. Like I had said, they have a lot of stretch to them so even if you are a bit taller, you can stretch to fit.

When I put them on, my fingernail snagged the thin nylon a couple times so be careful of this! I wore the stockings around my house and almost immediately they started rolling down. In the stock photo, the model has the stocking band lying flat, perfectly against her upper thigh. It did not look like that on me. I suppose it could be because I’ve got really thick thighs, but I think that this also could be a problem for those who are on the higher end of the weight bracket (see above). If you find the stockings are rolling on you as well, you could use garters to hold them up. I don’t like wearing garters often so this is a bit of a problem for me.



The rhinestones on the stockings are cute and sparkly, though they don’t seem to be well secured to the stocking. It seems as though they used a bit of fabric glue in the very centre of the rhinestone, but didn’t glue the entire thing.

The nylon material feels nice against the skin and I didn’t find it bothersome at all.

I usually love all things sparkly, but these really didn’t do anything for me. In all honesty, I think they made my thick legs look even thicker. I did not like the look of these at all on me. The stock photo legs look nice in these, but my legs- no.

The packaging states that the stockings should be hand washed in warm water and drip-dried. The stockings should not be ironed and if you need to bleach them, use non-chlorine bleach only. I suggest storing the stockings out of any pets reach. When I had l put the stocking on the ground to take a photo for the review, it picked up cat hair really easily (as you probably already noticed in the photos lol).

I’ve given the stockings a 3 out of 5 rating because even though they looked terribly hideous on me, they may look nice on you. The price is good, and they really are cute stockings… just not on my thick legs.

I haven't worn these stockings since writing the review. I actually got rid of the stockings after writing the review because one of the stockings came with the rhinestones missing. When I tried the one stocking on (that actually had the rhinestones still on it), it didn't look good on me so I never ended up getting another pair.
