Embroidered lace trim bra and g-string - bra and panty set discontinued by Music legs - review by burtnuh

I received this set with other items, but this was the first I tried on. I was so excited. I loved the idea of the thick band and the amazing detail. When I pulled it out of the box, the set was on a hanger in a plastic bag. I immediately wondered if this was the set I had ordered because it looked so different in person. The lace detail doesn't look as rich as it did in the model's photos, but I tend to find that to be the case with a lot of things I order online. I instantly tried on the outfit; my boyfriend loved it. It fit well and I was decently pleased. I removed the product and placed it in the wash. I have sensitive skin so I make sure always to wash new items before wearing them for an extended time.

The next day I excitedly put on the new set. It seemed comfortable, and I was surprised. I had worried that the thick lower band might be a bit uncomfortable, but it wasn't! The bottoms fit well. They weren't too tight or too loose. I went about my day feeling extra sexy. A few hours into my day, I started to feel a bit uncomfortable. The seams on the cups of the bra were rubbing my nipples a bit raw. I've never had this issue before with a bra. I also found that the fabric had colored my skin a light purple-black color on both the bra and the underwear. I also found the tags to be HUGE and in the way so I've cut them off.




I ordered this in a medium. Above is the Music Legs size chart. A medium should fit a pant/dress size of 6-10, I wear a 7, I think that the thong would be too tight for anyone larger than me. The suggested bra size is 34-36 B-C, I'm a 36B, and I found that there was a ton of extra room in the cups, but when you adjust the straps it helps the fit a bit. I think a large C could easily fit into the cups. I could wear the clasps on the tightest set and it wasn't uncomfortable or tight. So, I believe that even a 38 could fit into this. The underwear is strong and provides decent support. However, there is no padding in the cups so it could be less supportive for larger breast sizes.

The set is made of 90% Polyester and 10% Spandex. The black areas are see through and the embroidered detail is opaque. The detail is also very stiff, and while it looks like lace, it is not. It's just a stitched design. I didn't find the detail uncomfortable as I wore it, but if you run your hand over it, it isn't the softest material. The black areas are also a bit rough, again I didn't feel it while wearing it, just when I ran my hands over it. The seam through the middle of the cup is the only part I felt uncomfortable with while wearing this set.







With all of the bad listed, I'd like to say I won't be putting this item under the bed, never to be worn again. My boyfriend loved the look of it on, and I think that with a few more washes I'll be able to make the fabric a bit softer and hopefully it will help with the seams. For the price, I think this is a decent product, as long as the dye eventually stops rubbing off on my skin, it'll be a nice set to have. I'll be writing a follow-up review in a few months to let you know about the dye situation!

After a few washings of this item, it has finally stopped coloring my skin, and it seems to be getting a bit softer as time goes on. I find myself wearing it any time that it is clean and passing up sets that used to be my favorite.
