Fully boned satin corset - corset discontinued by Coquette - review by Big&Bald

Introduction
I am reviewing the fully boned satin corset (Size XL) by Coquette- Please check out the sizing chart on the product page if you need additional sizing info, the largest size carried in this corset is XL. You can purchase Small, Medium, Large, and Extra Large in this corset.

I am not reviewing it on myself, but I am reviewing it how it fit my lady. I got this for my monthly review because there wasn't much for me to choose from in the guy category. I can review all of the technical stuff but for the personal touch, I will add in her comments and opinion. I am reviewing this product as it fit and worked for her. She is helping me review this as I am not familiar with this particular item. She really loved the satin on the corset. It gives that perfect shine and the ruffles were one of her favorite things about the corset. This does not come with anything except the corset. There are no bottoms, garters, or stockings. There are two ribbon hanger straps on the corset.





Material/Design/Function

With the corset fully zippered and closed on the outer hooks, it measures 16 inches across in the middle. This corset comes with 15 hooks in the back of the corset. The corset tag states that it is 100% acetate.I would not say that this is a true corset because it does not lace up. It closes in the back by a hook and eye closure system. There are two rows of hooks on the back of the corset to be able to get the perfect fit. Each hook is 3/4 of an inch apart ( above each other). The front of the corset has a zipper closure with a diamond look that closes the zipper. The zipper is small at 1.5 inches total length and it has 3 tiny diamond look jewels on the zipper.



The full zipper measures at 12 inches. There are 8 plastic boning pieces on this corset. They are flexible and can bend easily. The boning next to the breast area has 2 smaller pieces of boning coming off of the larger boning pieces. These seem to be placed for breast support. Each boning piece on the breast supports measure at 4 and a half inches long. There is a spandex type stretchy panel on the back of the corset that holds the hook closure, this helps to stretch up a size if needed. Each spandex type panel on the back is 10 and a half inches long and 3 and 3/4 inches wide. The corset measures 34 inches at the widest part near the top and 33 inches at the middle and 32 inches at the bottom across. From the top of the breast area to the bottom of the ruffles it measures 14 and a half inches.










Imperfections
Some of the ruffles near the top were not sewn in correctly and there were rough edges that were left not sewn. It had threads unraveled and looked messy. It is a good thing that my lady can sew so she can fix this right up. There were also some loose threads hanging from the bottom of the corset. She just took some scissors and snipped them off. My lady had some trouble with the zipper zipping. It seems as the diamond look is the issue, even though it is pretty to look at, it would have worked better with a normal zipper because every time she zips and unzips, she has an issue with it and it takes a while to get it going on the track.






Performance

This corset has the ability to hold up well, the boning in the corset are sturdy and the sating material is a thicker material. It does not have a cheap feel to it. It does seem to be made well except for the hanging threads. Someone forgot to snip them off.




Sizing
I ordered the XL for her as she usually wears a 38DDD or a 38F bra. This fit her very tightly and her breasts just overwhelmed this corset. It also seemed to be short on her. If you are a 36-38 with smaller cup sizes D and under, this should be the perfect fit.

Care/Maintenance
On the tag inside of the corset, it states to hand wash.


Comments

She tried her best to fit into the corset but her breasts were just too large to wear this comfortably and without exposing all of her breasts. I didn't mind. I liked it a lot more than she does. We are deducting one star due to the issues with the zipper not zipping and unzipping like it should.

Once she first put it on, the zipper would not unzip and she had to work with that for a while to get it unzipped. Once she got it on, the breast area was just too revealing to be able to wear the corset out of the house. I would like her to wear it for me in the house but it just seems that she finds it uncomfortable with the way that is shoves her breasts out. We will be keeping an eye out to see if they make a size 42 in this corset.

She tried once more to fit into the satin corset and there was just no way. The zipper was once again stuck before she even put it on. Once she managed to get the zipper working, it looked the same.
